Joachim's Inn

"Well let's see...." He thought to himself, "Fake pricey wines, mildly overpriced foods, silence fees for those not wanting attention, general pillaging of rooms, fake door locks..."

He exhaled as he shrugged with a smirk, "All of them."

'That's brilliant.' She grinned back at him, grasping his hand and gently interlocking their fingers together. 'Does it all the taste the same down here?' She had an idea forming already...

'Well i do have a private store where the REAL stuff is..." His eyebrows raised quickly as he was following her train of thought.

'Well? Do I get access?' she winked at him, waiting expectantly.

Joachim chuckled with his mouth closed deviously as he tapped three bottle on a top row in a select order as shelves of alcohol emerged from a seemingly blank wall.

"Enjoy!"

'I knew there was a reason I loved you'. She teased, stepping closer and staring at the racks. Amaya was actually quite impressed, and unsure where to start.

"What, the handsome face, car salesmen charm, and well endowment wasn't enough?" He teased as he kissed her neck and reached for a large bottle of rum

'Well endowment? Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy.' She joked back, approving of his choice. 'Forgot to tell you, been practicing my come-backs whilst i've been gone.'

Amaya has literally had nothing better to do.

"Oh that's..." He snapped his fingers a series of times to try and remember, "How do the brits say, 'Not cricket'?" He laughed and poured them two glasses.

ooc and ic She rolled her shoulders in a shrug, literally clueless.

'That was weak, come on.' She goaded, nudging him despite the fact he was pouring rum.

"Hey come on, I'm in too good a mood for insults right now, I ain't a random insult generator lie ya!" He handed her her glass and raised his own, "The the night sure to come!"

She raised her glass, feeling the happiest she had in a long time. 'Hey, Joachim?' she pulled him closer.

"Yo?" He finished his glass in one swift swish, with machine like precision.

'Thanks for not being an asswipe.' It was a genuine compliment as she placed a kiss to his cheek, before downing the glass herself. 'You've made me feel a whole lot better.'

He smirked at her, "It's what I do... don't worry about it." However her sincerity was uplifting to the conman, it felt nice to be needed.

"Another glass?"

She waved her glass a little, but considered being careful and placing it back down by her side. 'You go ahead, it's nice appreciating you when I'm not blind drunk.' Amaya almost felt embarassed saying it, but she was simply glad she was here with him. It made everything... less shit.

"Oh man, I hate to drink alone..." He put the glass down.

"But hey, let's be real huh?" He opened his arm up for her to lay on his shoulder.

She accepted it gratefully, taking a moment to breath in the scent of his aftershave. 'Sorry, I'm acting like a big wuss.'

"You've had it rough, no worries. It's why I made this place, place to call home. When the shit hits the fan.." His voice grew nostalgic as he laid his head on hers, "Always got here..."

She put her other arm around his waist, smiling fondly. 'And you got me, i'm set on staying this time I swear.'

"Promise?" He asked her gently.

'I swear to ya, as long as you don't take off either.' She insisted, smiling a little to herself. 'It's been real boring without ya though, Bryn has been driving me mad with his lectures. "Stabbing people isn't very nice Amaya. Stop throwing knives you'll damage the walls. Stop trying to get into a fight with the Muggle Postman."

She copied her brother's brittle voice almost exactly.

Joachim let out an uproarious laughter, "Mother hens... TOTALLY get that..." Krystal had been that to him since the day she arrived her. Not that he didn't appreciate it at times...

"Don't smoke Chimmy, don't drink all the booze on the way back here Chimmy...."

'She callin' you Chimmy now? Get in... oh wait.' She let herself laugh too. She'd missed the sound of him chuckling, it put her almost compeltely at ease.

"Yeah but hey can't give her too much grief, she's really pushed the place along AND hasn't ratted me out yet..."
