Death just stood by and watched, knowing that would probably be the last time that he heard from her.

An hour had passed since she had walked away from Death. The sun had disspeared and the sky was dark- nothing was visible behind the thick blanket of rain clouds.
And nothing eluminated the grounds of the school either.
But the darkness only hid what was there.
A girl, curled up by a tree, her fingers loose around a small unmarked bottle. Her eys were shut, her skin pale, her breath barely there.
Part of her was still there  though, unable to wake...not wanting to. And that part just hoped....it would be too late if someone found her.

He watched the girl as the life ebbed from her. 'Ahriman, now is your chance. Take it or leave it. This girls life is in your hands.'

Ahriman looked at the scene before him, cold and unfeeling. 'She made her choice. She's always been miserable here. Let her leave and maybe she'll finally find peace.'

'Okay...' Death sighed and approached the girl. "No one should die alone." He sat next to her and put an arm around her. "I'm sorry. Maybe the next life will be better."

Her skin grew colder, and all of a sudden, her breathe hitched, her eyes opening wide, staring at death for a second before smiling and slumping against him.


Miles away in London, in the corner of the Hospital, River gasped, an echo of pain running through her body before being ripped away, leaving her emptier.
She knew, instictivly, what it was and closed her eyes. Her doupleganger had gone.
Silently, she raised her wand and set off a spell before going back to what she was doing.

Flying over the country up into Scotland, Rivers spell found the girl, bursting into a blue light that had Matched Lethes eyes, before scattering around her, drawing small red poppies up from the ground


Because, it didnt matter who Lethe had been- Everyone deserved to remembered.

He sighed and plucked one of the flowers and placed it in the girls hair. "May you finally find peace."

'Adios chica.'

The boy walked through the gates of the school, a bag hoisted over his shoulder.  He knew the teachers had been told he was arriving- but not for anther day. Because he didnt want some sort of welcome party at the gates, he didnt want the whispers as they took him though the school.
"Whose that?" they would whisper, giggling to themselves. "Whats his story?"
ANd then it would start. Everyone trying to know why he was there, who he was...
It was one thing he couldn't stand. Especially not with the way he had to treat people. It was hard enough without everyone interested in him.
SO he had turned up early, planning to sneak in and fade into the background before anyone even knew he was there.
But even he couldnt help stopping as he saw the school properly, standing out on the grounds and staring up at it. He had to stop a smile from forming on his face- you couldnt never know if there was anyone watching

And someone was watching. Death was sitting against a tree nearby watching curiously as the boy entered the school grounds.

Ahriman watched him as well. 'Who do you think that is?'

'I don't know Ahriman. Let's give it a moment and then we'll check it out.'

Alexander caught the boy staring and scowled at him before looking back at the castle and starting to walk up to it

'Bastard. Let's go introduce ourselves to the new guy.'

Death stood up and approached the boy. "Hello. I've not seen you here before." He held out a hand. "My name is Death Dolohov. And you are?"

He raised an eyebrow. 'Death. What an...interesting name that is.'

He smirked. "You've no idea." He lowered his arm and pushed up his sleeves showing off his Dark Mark in an inconspicuous way. "So, what made you want to come to Hogwarts?"

He snorts. 'Sorry, who would want to come here? not me. And deffinatly not me if people like you are around. well.' He paused. 'people in general are around.'

"People like me? Death Eaters?"

'Well, that. and..' He waved a hand at death. 'Peopel. Just people. You all annoy me.'

'I don't like him. Kill him.'

'I can't just kill random people Ahriman.'

'Sure you can. Pull out your wand and say Avada Kedavra. Easy.'

'No.'

"I see. I'll make it a point to avoid you then. However, you do need to know that I'm sort of in charge here. So don't piss me off. Okay?"

'Your in charge?' He laughs. 'This is a school. The only person in charge is the teacher who thinks he can handle stupid teenagers. You... Your nothing. Just a boy who wants what everyone else wants- to be above orders and be given staus. I can tell you...people like you will never be in charge of anything.'

'You're right. I don't like this guy.'

'Told you.'

He pulled out his wand and held it against the boys chest. "Let me make myself clear. I am in,charge here. Don't make me mad or cross me and you'll be fine. Would you like an example of what you will receive in turn should you piss me off?"

Xander suddelny grinned, but it didnt reach his eyes 'Go on then. But..that would mean you could care enough to hurt me which really would not be in your favour. In fact...you would come out far worse than me.'

He accepted the challenge. "We'll test that theory right now, shall we?" He smiled confident in his abilities. "Crucio!"

Xander gritted his teth as he feel to the floor in pain, but didnt make a sound. He was always in pain- this made no difference, excapt that it was physical.
And for the first time, He hoped...wished...his own curse would work on the boy. Caring mmeant pain for anyone else...it had to work.

OOC Um... What now?

IC He kept the curse focused on the boy a slow smirk growing on his lips. "Oh yes, I'm absolutely terrified of what's to come of me."

OOC omg, Death is getting sassier and sassier as time goes on.

ooc basically anyone who 'cares'about xander gets hurt. somehow. lol
