The Great Hall

"Please be ready to leave the grounds by the end of tonight sir..."

Jack turns around, starting to walk away, feeling more broken than he ever had before.

Dumbledore was truly saddened by the hard decision however his hands were tied. His policy over the school had been too weak over the years and now he wanted Hogwarts more than ever to be a place of safety and security.

'Well, looks like we missed the party.'
Amaya waltzed in first, eyes scanning the hall as she led her troops inside, taking in the grand scene of... Emptiness. She hadn't been expecting a warm welcome, but she thought that there'd be more people than spiders hanging on the wall.

'No dead bodies, always a good sign,' Ace snorted quietly, plopping herself down on one of the seats and peering over at her sister listlessly. 'Remind me why you dragged us here again?' 

Amaya glared at her sister, fingers inching towards her belt, fingers running over the smooth metal agitatedly. 'Because I am bored, Ace. You guys have had your fun with your crappy "family time" and days out to the park and skipping through fields of daffodils holding hands. Now we go back to reality, and it's going to be exciting.'


'Because ultimately, reality is constantly being afraid of dying, right?' Bryn hadn't spoken until now, lifting his cautious eyes from the floor and locking gazes with Amaya. Time away had only exacerbated the eerie calmness he carried with him. 

'Pfft. Like anything could actually kill you here. Come on, where's your enthusiasm? Hogwarts is completely and utterly safe, and you two nerds get to read all the books you want, what's the problem?' Amaya declared loudly, spinning in a small circle and waiting for something to happen.

And when she was greeted with more silence, she threw her head in her hands and huffed. 

Yup, regret this already. 


There was another reason why she had forced her family to come with her today, but she hoped they were painfully oblivious to it. Amaya did not get attached to people, she did not want to hurt them, and she did not want to be hurt herself. She considered it a shame that her plan to forget about this place hadn't worked.

Hogwarts is always here to welcome you home, how lame.

ooc firstly, why were yu up at one in the morning?!
secondaly, i woud bring someone in....but noe of mine are in hogwarts at the moment

( cramming and despair over my exams, a little bit of everything)
Would also explain why nobody has posted in Hogwarts for agesss but never mind

I walk in to the hall and stop, staring at the scene before me.
'Am i dreaming?'

'Yup, we're just some spooky ghosts, wooooo.' Amaya proceeded to make ghost noises and wiggle her fingers in the air.

'Long time no see, my friend.' Bryn nodded his head slightly, a smile gracing his features.

Rolling my eyes at Amaya i smile. 'Bryn!' I run at him, hugging him. 'Where have yo all been?'

Bryn accepted the hug gratefully, allowing a laugh to escape his lips before he explained. 'We left to relocate our parents and... find some things out. Now we've done that, I thought we better come back to finish our studies.'

He didn't need to explain everything, watching Amaya out of the corner of his eye, who was currently whispering to Ace.

'Really? Thats rare...no one studies here'

'It probably wouldn't help us if we left with no qualifications... can you tell i'm a Ravenclaw?' he joked, still happy to see her.

'What's been happening here anyway?'

Amaya huffed a little, grabbing her sister and tugging them both out of the hall.

I watch amaya leave. 'Does she hate me or something?' I mutter before shaking my head. 'Nothing much has happened...I...i almost died, umm.....most people have gone. Krystal and Joachim have started an inn...strangly.'

'She doesn't hate you. If she did she would've declared it by now.' He tried to seem reassuring, before listening to her words. 'Although you'd probably be glad she didn't hear that last bit. She's been a bit... impulsive lately.'

Bryn hadn't wanted to know what went on with Joachim and Amaya, and he was relieved he never did.

'Impulsive how? like going and shouting at them for working together?' I luagh queitly 'I dont think anyone understands the relationship a conman and a detective can have, its really wierd. they have more arguemnts than me and crouch.'

'Considering Ace works with detectives, she might actually find that out and tell May. I honestly don't know how she'll react to anything anymore, she's just unpredictable.'

Bryn let the worry drop from his expression, clasping his hands in front of them. 'It's good you're getting on with your brother though.'

'He gave up his magic for me.' I say quietly. 'How many people would do tht...I cant not love him, escpecilly now.'

Bryn coughed a little, unable to hide his surprise. 'What? that's... so chivalrous.' he murmured, knowing if it had been him in the same situation he might not have done the same thing. 'Then he must really love you Riv..'

'He does.' I smile. 'At least now its proven that he does have a heart.'

'So what's he doing now if he isn't using his magic?' He would've assumed that Crouch had to leave the Death Eaters. What does this mean for the "good" side?

I shrug. 'Waiting. I'm going to find a way to give it back to him. I dont...I  dont care if he uses it for evil, because its his...'

Bryn wasn't going to pass judgement on it, simply nodding. 'I would do the same for my sisters...' He paused for a moment, before asking his question.

'What has it meant for people here? i think it'd be an understatement to say that students were afraid of him.'
