the girl was sat at the hufflepuff table, watching the pair with tired, weary eyes. She paid equal attention to both of them; she'd heard the stories about River and the new kid was also intriguing...

If he's a Death Eater, he better stay away from Amaya and Mer.
Ace brought out her chess game, shuffling the pieces carelessly.

Ace was angry, she didn't care that she was interrupting.

'YOU'RE A BITCH!' her eyes blazed with her growing insanity, her need to retrieve what was lost, to get vengeance. The person who had kept her rational was the one now lying in a grave.

Her voice was laced with venom, but she wasn't drawing her wand. Ace wasn't going to attack, she had more tactic than that.

'You think this is easy? You know nothing, Ace. Nothing at all.' I was ferius, but i had to keep calm. I close my eyes, taking a breath. 'You know what? Im not doing this. im not going to fight.' I turn and sit back down, clenching my fists.

she snorted in disgust, Ace couldn't bear to look at this excuse for a human being in front of her.

'It should be you in that box River, not Bryn or Sydnay.' With that, she made her exit, walking stiffly and with bitterness shadowing her every step.

He walked into the Great Hall and sat down at one of the tables. He pulled out, from his bag, the sketch book that was once Nicolae's. He opened it to the drawing of him and Bryn.

He was filled with emotion and he wanted to cry. This would be his first Christmas without anyone. Both of the people he loved were dead. All in a matter of a few months.

He continued flipping through the book filled with wonderful art. He had memorized every line, every shadow in every picture.

He knew he shouldn't have opened the book. It just brought him a sense of emptiness, not happiness. He closed the book and lay his head down on the table and fought back the ever present tears.

Taking a stroll inside I notice Teddy by his lonesome. I'd just finished Christmas shopping for Potion and all my friends, but he's got no one.

He wanted to be alone, but he knew that neither Bryn nor Nicolae would want him to be so recluse on the eve of Christmas. He shrugged. "Okay, what time is it?"
