I look between the two, it seemed my grandson held a very persuasive tongue. "I'm going to put the forces of nature back into Order, with us on top of the food chain."

"But Master Enzo, sir-"
Erik cut in, quietly, nervously, "Topher told me there was no... order like that. That there were the good people and the bad people, not the supreme and the weak, like you've taught me.... the world... it doesn't sound like the wild."

Silence.
Pitch had fallen silent, allowing the Fearling to finish it's work, to take over Raul.
Such a shame, that this boy would now live in forever darkness, forever fear.
Forever his servant.
Along with Daisy.

Pitch pulled out of Raul's dreams, to allow him to wake. Oh, but this feeding was so good.
And Enzo wouldn't even be able to tell.
The Nightmare King hunched his shoulders slightly, as he turned away from the boy, and looked to the ground, wincing at the light of the new area again.
"Superior species, my fabulous ass..."

Erik nodded, in agreement, twiddling his thumbs.
"And sir, if there are so little of us left, how would we keep the bloodline pure? After years, we would have to interbreed, and the normal people will not be lower than us.... it would be a confusing matter... and sad, almost..."

Pitch gazed over his shoulder, to Raul, letting out a long sigh.
".... I am sorry for your fate, Raul. But it must be so..."

Topher: "More to what he said, I'm not pure. Besides, your daughter didn't have the eyes..."

Enzo: "My daughter wasn't one of the blessed, true, but she still gave birth to thou, Noir. Even the normal have a purpose..."

Topher: I glare at him angrily, "LISTEN TO YOU!"

Raul: I stand upright, almost dazziliy.

Erik did feel quite nervous, but the more Enzo brought up made Erik, himself upset, as well.

"Normal...?.... There are so many normal, there wouldn't be much hope for us. They would outlast us. So why can't we live peacefully with them...?"

The Nightmare King stared after Raul for a moment, shaking his head and chuckling.
"Stupid boy. Tell the others of your... stature... of my deals for power. I will.. happily accept more..."

Enzo: "Because does the owl live in peace with the mice it eats? Those who art superior should proclaim such!"

Raul: "I shall!" I bow to him as I would've bowed to Enzo himself and excuse myself.

"They can, if they tried!" Erik snapped, losing any composure. He was sick of hearing the same thing from growing up.
"Maybe this owl just wants to live in peace and harmony with the mice!"

The Nightmare King smiled, darkly, and nodded in approval.
Power was too easy to get.

Carefully, he stepped from the room, to find an exit from this damned place.
For now.

Enzo: "KNOW YOUR PLACE!" I turn my glare at Erik, the 8 pointed star coming into perfect, threatening clarity.

Topher: "Yeah, Erik's a better guy than ya pops! He at least TRIES to understand people..."

Erik winced away quickly, terror flashing through his expression, looking away.
Enzo could snap him like a twig, if he tried.

"... I-..."

Enzo: "The both of you art foolish for this.." I rise from my throne to approach the both of them.

Topher: "Maybe, but I'd rather be foolish and me than smart and anyone else..."

The cultist seemed to shrink away even more.
He winced, feeling horrified, upset.
"... I'm s-sorry, Master Enzo. But... I want to be seen as a person, not a tyrant or a ruler..."

I apparate right to their level.

Erik was shivering, looking more and more horrified.
"N- M-Master Enzo, I... Please, I just wish you to maybe see sense in peace..."

Erik stopped wincing away, his ees narrowing as he leaned forward, staring right at Enzo now.
"Then I guess you'll have to kill me. Or leave me to that shadowy man! Because I won't fight you, and I won't become a tyrant to the people on the surface!"

"Shadowy man? Explain yourself, I had put him in his place."

"If he is who he says he is, then the fear we might cause will just feed him! Will take him up to more power!"

Erik shuddered, frowning as he thought about it.
"He could plunge our world into more terror and pain. And you're up to thinking he'll just sit there like a puppy and do nothing?"

"That's an outcome none of us want pops, I've seen what he can do. He's no joke..."

"Y-yes! And a world of pure darkness and fear? That's what we would cause..!"


Erik fumbled over his words, still terrified of Enzo, keeping his eyes down.

I stay silent, pondering a little. Fear caused by my imminent rise to power could strengthen him past me.

"Pitch did very well in bringing you to me, especially given the arrangements that accursed normal boy did to keep thou from me."

"Come with me now, let us defeat the dark one early."

"Defeat..? How would we-...?"

Erik looked completely torn, dark circles under his eyes. He was exhausted, but fear had kept him awake, draining his energy.
".... What do you plan...?"

I start to think. Locations were one of the biggest part of a good heist and we had the advantage of my grandpops being the anti-dracula.
