"I could've come out with worse," I say, shrugging. "I had a wolf fall on me. I could've had my throat ripped out, but I got away with a bad leg."

"There was another one nearby," I point out. "One that was Crouch. He was provoking Phoenix in that battle, which was why she fell on me in the first place. He could've done that to me to get her to lose it; she's not exactly stable when she's a wolf."

'It's probably different. I am a fox, so it's like slipping into my favourite clothes really. Werewolves and animagus are originally human, i'm not..' he trailed off, uncertain.

"Huh." I frown. "Maybe we should get Phoenix and talk about it sometime. I dunno what it's like for her really, but the whole werewolf thing is, like, rooted in the body, or something. Could be why it's impossible to cure, I dunno. Not my area."
