'I knew there were aurors that didnt like the strayers...only artemis and a few others would have know what i did, and no one would have listened. I wasnt going to come hre, i was going to let artemis take the blame.'

Cayden for the most part ignored Rivers words, knowing that starting a feud between the aurors would only actress chaos in the room. 'is Artemis's alibi true, miss dolohov?' Cayden needed evidence that Artemis' story was true before she could ask anything else.

'also, i would like permission to put you under veritaserum, river.'

"Okay, I can't hold my tongue..." I stand up, "Listen up folks, that mere fact we're havin' this trial is stupid! About how many DE has Arty put away, huh?"

I look at them all indignantly, outraged that Arty was here after all he did for me and Potion. "Can't we spare everyone a bitta time and say, 'He's innocent' and be on our merry ways?"

Cayden repressed a sigh, shaking her head. 'i didn't open the courts, Mr noir.'

'Do what ever you have to do. ill take the truth potion, you can read my mind, whatever.'

'Any protests from the opposing court?' she made a sweeping gesture, waiting for anyone to pipe up and object.

"No objections."

Showing compliance would be a good way to earn support, it's not like I could think of any logical argument that could hold water.

I'm watching all this happen nervously, holding Crest's hand tightly.

'WOnderful. Can we get this over with please? Im sure most of you know about my hate for things like this.' I smile. 'bend aurors and mind use and all that.'

"Damn right you cooperate..." I mutter under my breath, being completely in agreement with Crest on this one.

It's only fair that I support Artemis, given that he's done so for me countless times when I've been in the same situation. I go and join my friends and family as quietly as I can, slipping into a seat at the end of the row.

Two aurors wandered over to River and administered the potion, before stepping back quickly.

'Mrs dolohov, did you steal Artemis Strayer's wand and use it to break Death Dolohov out of prison?'

'yes. I gave the wand to death when i went to see him and told him to keep it hidden.'

'Do you know the location of the wand?' she pressed, insistent. If ti was returned to Artemis soon, he could be potentially framed time and time again for crimes.

'When i met death after he escaped, i sent it by owl post back to artemis.''

She nodded, glad that end was settled. 'Why did you come here today?' she'd asked it before, but she wanted to check it was correct.

'because this is all my fault, and i dont want my friend to get in to trouble for it. Im just to stupid to realise these things before it goes to far.'

'So you still view Artemis as a friend even though he put your husband in prison?' it would be her last question before she let anyone else inquire.

'I didnt.' I look at him. 'I hated him. he broke my trust before and i thought i hated him, but i dont. i need him...he helps keep me here. I fought against him because i was scared of loosing him and others when i married Death, and now i am at the poitn of loosing him, i understand all he has ever done is help me. so yes, he is my friend.'

'No further questions from me River.' she half smiled at the girl, before announcing again. 'If anyone would like to inquire, please speak now before we move on to Mr Strayer.'
if that was all, she'd dismiss River for now.

"I got some things to say!"

I sigh, closing my eyes briefly before sittingback down.

I hop over the bench standing in front of everyone. I gesture to my sullen friend, "See this guy? This guy is half the reason my wife and I are alive, and god knows who else!"

"He's the best guy I know, so let him the hell go!"
