Early Years

Chase

His face broke out into a rare real smile. "I feel the same way. I'm the strange one that everyone is frightened of."

He smiled back, it contained the warmth it would possess in his future. 'You know what? I consider you a friend as well, everyone fears me too.'

Chase

"It seems we are more alike than I originally thought." His smile was gone, but the amusement in his eyes remained.

-Bryn-
'Nobody can truly change what you are on the inside.... I will consider your offer by the way.' he sat on the floor, closing his eyes in thought.
'I hope the next time we meet won't be you arresting me.'

Chase

"So do I. I'd be more than annoyed if I had to arrest my only friend."

only friend bit. lol L was soooo lying then.

-Bryn-
'It would only prove i was really a monster in the end, and that evil can't be overcome.'

OOC: It still made me go 'Aww' like a true L fangirl.

Chase

"Then here's a challenge for you: the next time we meet, be on the right side."

-Bryn-
'And when we do, you better be on it as well.' his smile was slightly cryptic yet uncertain.

Chase

"The DE will never get me on their side, I'm 100% certain of that. I fight for the right type of justice."

-Bryn-
'Whereas i fight for the balance when possible, but i don't have the time to do that now i'm loyal to them.' he shrugged.

'it's not too bad.'

Chase

"Balance is better than bad. But how can be fighting for the DE be 'not too bad'?"

-Bryn-
'For one, i don't get beaten.'

Chase

"That is a plus, I suppose." Chase cocked his head again. "I'd still prefer to work for the right side."

-Bryn-

'Even if what you considered was the right side hurt you?'

Chase

"Yes. I won't compromise the safety of others for my own wellbeing."

-Bryn-
'Then you will understand why i chose it, to protect my family.'

Chase

"That makes more sense now." Chase nodded. He thought more highly of Bryn now. If he'd chosen to be a DE just because he wanted to, he wouldn't have been as... impressed? He wasn't sure if that was the right word.

Bryn-

He nodded. 'I stay with them for their sake..' Bryn sighed and shut his eyes. 'I wish we had met a few years prior to now, i might not've joined them.'

Chase

"If there is such a thing as fate, it is indeed cruel."

-Bryn-
He stood up, smoothing his robes down and nodding to Chase. 'Until we meet again, my friend.' the young boy strode away, thinking.

It will be quite...interesting.

Chase watched him go, smiling a little. He's not a bad person, for a DE... And I have a friend.

I bound through the forest, confident in my strength and painfully hungry for a fight of some kind. I scent the air as I run in my search for something to attack.

Desouza siblings.

Bryn: He was laughing manically with his sisters, Kassie, Francesca, Sydnay and Ellise to be precise. The rest of them had been too scared to show up. wimps. 'Whoever kills the wolf wins!'

I pause, ears swivelling as I hear something. I lick my lips and sniff the air again. Humans. I lift a paw uncertainly and point my muzzle in their direction. My instincts scream at me to either fight or run...

Well, I wanted a fight anyway.

I walk forwards silently, ears forward to catch as much sound as I can.

Ellise: she started laughing. 'I hear one! i can so hear one!' she then calmed down, taking her sister's hands. 'Brynmor....are we actually going to stay?'

Bryn: He smirked coldly. 'of course i am.' bryn's facade was shattering quickly, he was actually afraid.
