From what I gather before the trial, Artemis contacted an auror he trusted to conduct the trial. His original plan was to use Crouch as a prisoner exchange but the auror decided to weight things more in your favor. The court was basically split in half. We were being supported one minute and then ridiculed the next, Topher got the worst of it though.

However we managed to convince the jury to free you, but we couldnt free Amaya
