'Stop!' I grab the bottle, pulling it away from him. 'Besides, crouch...its too late. Just give up..'

Raven's having a tougher time fighting Crest off than usual.  Maybe it's her worry for Crouch losing his power?  She knows he'll have a hard time surviving without it.  So he needs her more than ever.  She can't let Crest beat her.

Crest couldn't help but notice the odd amount of difficulty Raven was having. Usually they were evenly matched. But if this protects Sam and his family, present and future, he wouldn't argue with it.

"I will NEVER GIVE UP UNTIL EVERYONE I HATE IS DEAD!!!" He tried to fight her like a muggle but his attempts amount to little more than a flailing of arms.

I shake my head, pointing my wand at crouch and creating thin ropes to tie his arms to his side- before pushing the stone back at him. 'And i am now included in that list, crouch, so i am less likely to stop.'

"I won't let you beat me!" Raven kicks Crest the hardest that she can, needing to get to Crouch and get them out of here.

"STOP IT!!!" Crouch demanded, "GIVE ME BACK MY POWER!!" His eyes were wide and fear filled. Not even a little bit of insane merriment.

Crest fell off of her, and he went to get up and catch his breath  before returning to the fight.

'And the mask falls off.' I say quietly. 'Here lies the person crouch truely was. A scared little boy that needed his power because he didnt want to be as weak as he was as a child.'

While Crest catches his breath, Raven runs to Crouch, pushing River out of the way to apparate them out of there.

Crest regains enough breath to keep going and tries to pull Raven away from River. He couldn't believe it. River was acting correctly.

"I will make you suffer for this..." Crouch promised her as he tried to get out of his restraints.

I fire a spell at raven, trying to keep her away. 'I suffer for this every day crouch. trust me.'
The stone starts shaking, lighting up in my hand, and look down, pulling away from crouch. 'But however you make me pay....it wont be magical anymore.'

Raven dodges, but the spell hits her shoulder.  But she can't stop, or Crest will catch up.  She keeps running, shooting a powerful imperious curse at River.

Crest saw only one option he can do to ensure their perfect victory. He jumped in front of Raven's spell to take the brunt of it. He knew he could mentally resist it, but he wasn't sure about River.

Crouch rises as he reached desperately for the crystal, "GIVE IT TO ME! NOW!"

'No!' I shout, putting the stone in y bag and casting a spell to lock it. 'Im sorry, crouch..'

"Damn it, Strayer! I don't have time for this!" But while she's in there, she pushes the hardest she can. If she could just get Crest to hold River down for a split second she and Crouch would be out of here.

"Not as sorry..." He started panting furiously as though he'd walked through a desert without water for several days, "not as sorry, as you're going to be..."

Crest put up his proverbial mental walls, trying to block out all he could from Raven. She was strong though. He told himself not to obey any commands she gave and fought hard to do it. The only small thing she was able to scrap out of his head was a single sound. A small infant's cries...

I take a step away from crouch, my eyes stinging. 'Forgive me, brother. please....I had too...'
I take another step away, leaving enough room between us both for Raven to get in. Because i wanted him gone, before i really did break down.

Raven holds Crest down long enough to get Crouch and herself out of here.

With them out of the way, Crest stands up, brushes himself off, and walks over to River, "One down."

I was shaking, staring at the spot where the two had been seconds ago. 'Oh god.....oh god theirr going to kill me.'

"Then we pinch them first before that happens." He told her coldly. He got too close to Raven discovering the truth but it was worth it for their victory.

"Crouch will not be problematic for a while but Raven takes priority now."
