Joachim woke up later and read that note, "huh... so THAT'S what it's like to get one of those notes..." Lord knows he has left notes like this behind for various women he's duped in the past but to get one for himself was quite an eye opener to him.

ooc apart from this time amaya's actually going to come back XD

She led Crest down to the inn, knocking carefully on the front entrance. She didn't even know if Amaya would be around.

He came down in a bath robe, hearing the knock on the door. 

"Who the fuck knocks to get in an inn?" He muttered to himself, "IT'S OPEN!!" He yells to them.

ic She carefully opened the door, unable to take her surroundings in. 'May? you here?'

Amaya was currently sat in one of the back rooms away from prying eyes, having not slept nor spoken to anyone for hours.

Joachim walks over to them, "Oh hey, Mer! What's up?"

He stiffened up at the sight of Crest entering, "Look whatever it is, I didn't do it!!!" He pitifully scrambled toward the nearest open door.

She shook her head in despair, not pinning Amaya as the type to marry a coward. (ohh snap!) 'Just let me find my sister please.'

Amaya could hear the discussion going on, but decided not to greet her sibling when she noted Crest was there.

"May! Get in here, your sis is here!" He called in.

She tentatively made her way to the group, her first words being. 'if you're gonna interrogate me or talk shit at me then you can just leave now.'

Meredia took the bluntness in her usual stride, bobbing her head in greeting. 'I was about to go back to Hogwarts. Crest wants to talk to you.'

Crest stepped up and didn't shy away from what had to be done. "We need you."

She blinked for a moment, at a loss as to what she should say. It was then she remembered Sydnay and Elise, throat bobbing as she swallowed. It's my fault..

'I'm sorry, I can't help you.' She spoke with finality, steeling herself and schooling her expression into one of distance.

Meredia shook her head, confused.

"You didn't even hear what we had to say..." Crest stepped forward toward her.

'I don't care.' She turned away from them, preparing to leave again. 'Anything else?'

"Yeah. You're GOING to help us." He grabbed her arm and turned her around.

'Crest-' Meredia began, but she was too late.

'BACK OFF!' she shouted, trying not to disturb the guests whilst wrenching her arm out of his grip. 'Don't you dare touch me again.' Her eyes were wide with hints of fear, muscles immediately tensing and waiting for her next move.

Crest scowled but examined her facial features. She wasn't the type to get scared, not of him anyway. 

"It's Donia isn't it?"

'What?' she took a step backwards, simply confused now. She tried to keep herself guarded, palms resting on her knives.

"You're never this fearful." He answered simply, "Something has you frightened and it's not me."

ic 'I'm not being fearful, I'm wary. I'm way of you because I don't trust you, and you've never trusted me. Perhaps I don't believe you need my help, why the hell would you?' Amaya was clearly suspicious, her instincts telling her to leave.

"Because the Desouzas need the Strayers as much as we need you in the times soon to come. So please, let us put our differences aside for the collective good of all of us."

'I'm not a Desouza.' She said flatly, ignoring the wide eyed look she received from Meredia, yet again turning her back to them. 'That family would be better if I wasn't involved with them anyway, I brought them all the shit they got.'

Meredia tried to speak, but was too shocked for words.

Crest let his eyes rise in shock for a brief second but then retracted to a scowl, "Maybe you're right about that." Disloyalty to family... people who would get your back no matter what. Crest had never expressed it to the levels he would've loved to, but he truly loved his family and the mere idea of leaving them when they needed him was a sin without repentance to him. It was more than duty, it was love.

"I don't understand people very well, but one fact I know is anyone who would turn their back on their family doesn't deserve one." He started to make his way out, "come on Meredia. We're wasting time."

'May..' The little girl began again, reaching for her sister's hand. 'This isn't you, you wouldn't give up on us.'

Amaya bit her lip, biting back her response, keeping the cold facade in place. 'No, its you who needs to give up on me.' It was barely a whisper. Amaya kept her hands folded, stubbornly waiting for them to leave. Then she could cry, scream, do anything to stop herself getting too reckless.

Meredia stood rooted to the spot, conflicted. She loved her sister too much to just leave.
