The Great Hall

'Because I abandoned them without notice?' He was sure he'd be angry if they had left him unexpectedly.

'So you think avoiding them would make everything better?'

'What can I say? I'm not a gryffindor.' He muttered, before finishing off his writing. 'Think I should send a letter to Krystal first?' He held up the offendibg piece of paprer for her to see.

It's been a while, my dear sister. I didn't really know how else to phrase this so...
I miss you.
I hope you can forgive us. 
I'll explain everything if you let me.

'Krystal values family over everything, Bryn. She has lost so many of her siblings...I think she would want to hear from you.'

He offered her a weak smile, before wrapping up the letter and preparing to send an owl. 'I guess I'm just paranoid for no reason. Its been so long that I don't know what to expect from people.'

'then dont expect anything. or expect what you think wont happen'

He nodded. 'Alright. I'll send it now.' He finally decided, smiling gratefully at her, 'thanks a lot.'

'Wha are friends for?'

'I'm glad we can still be friends, despite all the other stuff that has been going on.' He admitted, clutching the letter tightly and wishing he could just write down what he wanted to say to Krystal.
Too dangerous.

'Can i ask you a question though?'

'You cn ask me after you send the letter....jut so I know your not putting it off.'

'It was an important question, but never mind.' he gave her a small wink, before standing up carefully. 'I'll see you around.'

'You better be back for good, bryn.'

'I've sort of died once, isn't that an indication that i want to be here?' Bryn knew he couldnt make promises, but he really did hope he'd be here for good as well...

I smil. 'go on, go send the letter.'

With that, Bryn took his cue to leave and headed towards the Owlery.

He was sitting near the entry way at the Ravenclaw table tinkering away at another toy. He needed to do something fun otherwise his brain would explode. There was nothing like fixing another broken toy to relax him.

He had intended to grab some lunch before heading back into the library to work on a sort of cure, but so far he hadn't found anything to do with Amaya's condition.

Then again, that train of thought stopped when he saw Teddy

Bryn was rooted to the spot, simply staring awkwardly. He didn't know what to do.

OOC That awkward moment when you run into your ex that you're still totally head-over-heels for

IC He tinkered away until he felt like he was being watched. He raised his gaze slowly and looked around for anyone watching him. Then he spotted Bryn...

Ic he just waved, deciding to sit himself further down the table. Since he wasn't so sure where they stood, he thought he'd give teddy some space.

He looked back down at the gears and screws that lay scattered around him. He was mentally freaking out. Bryn was back.

Bryn was here in Hogwarts.

He was here and Teddy didn't know if that was a good thing or not. He had thought he would never see Bryn again and that's why he decided to move on. Move on to Xander. But Bryn was back.

He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself. He ran a hand through his turquoise hair.

'How've you been?' He finally asked, plucking up the courage to smile weakly.

He looked over at Bryn again and forced a weak smile. "Okay, I guess. Things are hard right now..." Have been since you left.

'I'm sorry.' It was all he could say, looking at Teddy with eyes bearing sorrow and despair. 'I owe you an explanation, for everything. I'd like to tell you but if you don't want to listen then I understand.'

"I would like an explanation. Thank you." He noticed that Bryn looked just as down as he did. Wasn't that odd? He wasn't the only one effected by their break up...

Or so he hoped.

He wrung his hands, a nervous habit that had returned from his childhood, 'Me and my sisters left for the summer to a house we own in the Lake District. It was then that we were contacted by my Dad - and Mer wanted to find her own. Weird things that just don't make logical sense started happening. Amaya wasn't sleeping, she sat in the corner like a ghost for weeks, muttering that something was coming to get her.' 

Bryn sighed, shaking his head. 'I couldn't leave her like that, I couldn't come back. I god damn wanted to but-'  he'd been so worried about his family that he dropped everything else. Not to mention Amaya almost killed him.
