I roll my eyes, "But some people strive their hardest to be kind and righteous, no matter what's thrown at them." I glare, "You're pathetic, Crouch. When your precious Voldemort is done with you, he'll throw you out as if you're nothing but trash..."

"You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm entitled to fact..."

"But you're blinded by arrogance and pride."

"Am I? Or is everyone else the arrogant ones?"

I shake my head, sighing, "You're hopeless."

"I be to differ... after all, who's the most praised guy at a party than the one who starts the bonfire..."

I kick him as hard as I can, "We should lock him up somewhere..."

"Might I recommend a high quality inn?" I ask jokingly.

Lukas turned over a small piece of paper in his palms, reading the words over and over again.

Logan,
I desire your presence as soon as possible. Please meet me at Hogsmede Village, we have much to discuss.

Your friend Lukas.

He'd sent the letter a few hours ago now, not really expecting the boy to show up.

Logan was rather proud of his disguise. His sunglasses and hood wouldn't exactly be considered a disguise by most people, but Logan was proud nonetheless. Though he'd been invited by Lukas, he wasn't certain that there was no chance of an ambush by...someone, so he'd absorbed Kurdt to bring him along.

"You see him anywhere Kurdt?" Logan seemed to say to himself.

"Isn't that him over there?"

Logan lowered his shades, allowing his heterochromic eyes a better view of the kitsune. He began approaching him as soon as he was certain it was really him.

"You wanted to see me," a mocking grin grew on Logan's face "Friend?"

Lukas stood with confidence, a genuine smile lighting his sharp features as Logan drew closer.

'Why of course! It's been a while, my ally.' The kitsune's arms lifted, addressing an invisible audience with unusual grace. His theatrics died quickly however, his face settling into a mix of curiousity and seriousness.

'How has everything been at Hogwarts?'

Logan shrugged "How should I know? As you so happily tell me every time we talk I'm not the most popular student at Hogwart's. Though I have seen that weird kid a lot more than usual. You know, the one who always walks really slowly and sleeps in weird places. I don't know, maybe he's doing something."

Lukas's mind wracked for a moment.
'Lewis...? oh yes, i remember.' a nod, he considered again.
'I haven't seen anybody at Hogwarts for a while, i'm not even sure what the status quo is for allies and who is on who's side at the moment.'

He tapped his chin thoughtfully before speaking once more.
'Although i could tell you who i know isn't at the school right now. Not that it's important.'

"Is that all you wanted me for: A Facebook update for Hogwart's?" Logan felt disappointed.

'don't be ridiculous.' the Fox spirit scoffed, shaking his head slightly. 
'I have an inkling something's going to happen at the school soon, it might do you good to ensure you are fit for battle. Everything always ends in fighting at that castle.'

It was a fair warning, considering Lukas had spent many months simply observing his surroundings and becoming atuned to the pattern of behaviour at Hogwarts.

"Why do you think I've got this loser with me?"

Logan removed his sunglasses, revealing his heterochromic eyes.

"Hey!"

"It's no secret that everything's going to hell at Hogwart's, there's just a few people who refuse to admit it. Though most people do seem to be preparing for the worst. Personally, I couldn't care less. If those idiots want to go kill each other, I say let them."

'That's what I intend on doing. The Death Eaters there must know i'm not to be relied on right now, mainly because if there's going to be a bloodbath i can't be bothered to help clean up.'
Another snort, Lukas ran a hand through his black hair.

'At least you'll be ok, i suppose that was kinda my priority..' he hated to admit it, but Lukas didn't particularly want to watch a friend die.

Logan was confused, giving out an arrogant laugh "Getting soft are we Lukas? I thought such cares were below you." He looked at Lukas with a sadistic grin "And I think you know what happens to people who get soft."

'It is not weak to care for an ally.' he adopted a light, chiding tone. 'It is a fact of life that we all need someone or somebody to have our backs. Nothing has survived when it stands alone.'

which is why i possessed people for so long.

'Believe me, i always look out for myself.' he grinned back, revealing his always sharp canines.
