I look at him, some shock in my face
"So...you don't care?"

"As far as I'm concerned, Jack the Ripper died a long time ago."

I almost wanted to smile
"Thank you Crest, you wont let that slip to Crouch's ears will you?"

The left side of my mouth twitches upward, "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about telling Crouch, you...obviously won't right?"

"it was a joke, I was implying I had already forgotten thus ensuring your secret."

My musing skills must become the dullest of tools in the metaphoric shed.

I blink a few times, unsure of how to react.
"Well, okay then." I bend some water like a tiny serpent around my arm
"I like water...at least elements never seem to judge." I look to him
"People always complain about winter and being cold and trapped...and how they praise summer and it's warmth and freedom. That's...why I'm so envious of my cousin. People love him for who he is..."

"I've never been one to shy from the cold."

"Crest I'm saying people don't love or like me for who I am." I sigh heavily 
"I have to facade feelings a lot..."

"For the longest time, I didn't even have feelings or even any indication or inclination of wanting them."

I shake my head
"Nevermind just..." I jump into the air, "I hope you and Sam are happy." With that I fly off, disappearing into a cold whisp of wind

I watch him, hoping he was ready for what lay ahead.

IC: I appear next to Crest in a whirlwind  wearing my usual gothic attire while watching Leon vanish 
"Enjoy talking to my cousin?" I ask

I stare at the newcomer, suspicious as I am about all new face, "Why were you listening?"

I hold out my hand, tiny spirals of wind circling in my palm
"I hear all that the wind carries." My eyes meet his
"But if you want a real reason I'm watching him, he's my responsibility as an older family member."

"Responsible for what? His safety?"

The wind picks up, slicing leaves as they fall
"That's his problem. I am here on my fathers request to make sure certain disaster is avoided. Regrettably, Leon has something none of us do, and I'm here to make sure that is never awakened."

"His past self." I conclude.

I quirk an eyebrow 
"How do you know of this?"

I don't answer her, her reaction being all the validation I needed.

"There is one other thing he didn't mention..."
I turn to face him
"In that state of past, he is his most powerful, but also his most vulnerable."

"How so?"
