'Oui.' he alternated between french and english often, settling on the latter language. there was an easy smile on his face. 'Don't mind the oldies having a drink with ya?' Pierre was slightly older than Mael.

"Not at all. This noble is taking time off, so should an auror."

I make a hand motion to get us two drinks. They didn't even bother charging me anymore with how often I came here and how I could pay entire tabs out of my pocket.

"So how's the Enzo case been going?" He was much more polite sounding than his eventual son, not using slang at all.

The auror in training seemed more lighthearted in comparison. 'Gill's been working on it tirelessly, i swear that girl will run herself into her own coffin. We've made progress though, we've been tracking him. How's.... being fancy coming along?' he teased in a friendly way.

I lean my head back, "God, how royal people don't scalp themselves out of boredom I'll never know..."

My expression turns serious though, "But I have some news you'll be interested in..."

'oh?' his tone also changed, matching Mael's. 'Do tell.'

"Enzo visited my household... he was trying to get us to ally with him."

"Don't worry, we refused of course... but I think I'm getting in close with one of them."

'It's understandable that he'd approach you. im sure the ministry has faith in your family as it is, you younger ones in particular anyway.'

I chuckle, "Sheesh old timer..."

"Anyway, you'll never guess who I'm getting close with. Hell, don't even try to guess."

"Agatha Enzo, HIS daughter."

'Shit man.' he was awarded some glares for his cussing. 'That's dangerous business...' Pierre nursed the drink between his fingertips. 'Be careful 'bout that.'

"Hey don't worry about me. I know how this goes. I'll charm some info and we'll be all good to go..."

"Although.." I shake my head, "Man, what a woman..."

'don't say that round Gill, she'd have your head on a stick. Women aren't delicate flowers that are sheltered from the world. If anything, most of them are more intelligent than i am.'
Pierre spoke only from his partnership with Gillian, the pair worked hand in hand at the Ministry.

"But she's not just some mindless Enzo drone... I.. think I can save this one." The young man didn't do a lot worth mentioning. He mainly aided the aurors out of his friendship with Pierre, but this was the first time he sounded really devoted to a course of action.

'Then don't treat her like one then.' his smile was simple, taking a sip of his drink. 'Treat her like you would with any other woman.' Pierre was glad Mael had gained some enthusiam, having never expressed how grateful the training auror was for his help.

"Believe me, I want to treat her a lot better than that."

'you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to. She seems like a sweet girl.' he was approving, thinking. 'what did Enzo say when he approached you then?'

"Ah just the usual tripe you tell me usually. Have to think of myself, natural order, fiances can help us, blah blah blah.."

'I don't tell you anything.' he insisted, snorting. 'That's Gill, not me. Do what you want man, just don't make me hunt you down..'

"Thanks for the faith..." I give him a sarcastic smirk.

'I do have faith in you.' he raised a brow, confused. 'You're my friend, not a suspect.'

I chuckle, "I'm just messing with you, old timer. But honestly, I'm a rock, you don't have to worry about me."

'I'm not THAT old..' he muttered, rolling his eyes. 'Why would such a gentleman like yourself party with an old guy?'

"Hey now, we've been friends for like what, going on 10 years or so?"

'since you were small actually.' he noted, smirking.

"Oh yeah..." I chuckle, "back when I would nick the professor's apples off the desk..."

'And i had my head hidden in a book, i still do most the time.' he practically pouted, considering the absurdity of it.
