Early Years

Well there's two of them, one of him, and his attention can only be so many places, namely one.

Either way they can't win if he can control events, can they?

Perhaps I didn't explain it well in the disclosure. HE can only control them for a breif period of time, just a few seconds, and then he has a gap of time he needs to wait before using it again. I'm going to call in 5 minutes in between events.

ic Pierre approached from behind, remaining quiet and nodding to Gillian. The woman simply tried to punch him in the face as a distraction. 'I wouldn't give up, not to you.'

OOC You forgot about the rule of reality. If an event CAN'T happen, he can't make it happen.

I stop her fist, "For the good of thine daughter, I suggest thou surrender." I point my wand at her forehead, ready to put in the killing blowing.

'Okay, I surrender.' All the fight seemed to leave Gillian, staring into Boniface's eyes intently and unrelentingly.

It was in the same moment that Pierre sank the knife into Boniface's back.

Gillian dived out of the way, throwing Pierre the blindfold and readying the incarcerous spell again.

The surprise of the attack caught me by surprise and I go to turn around to fire a killing curse at the offender.

Pierre barely had time to duck, attempting to fasten the blindfold back over Boniface's eyes. Gillian had already shot the curse, hoping their timing was in tandem.

I send out one final spell at Gillian at the last second, meant to maim her before her curse collides with me and wraps me up with my eyes blindfoled. I still had 4 minutes before I could control events again.

"Thou hath not beaten me..."

Gillian cried out in agony, clutching the part of her body that had been hit. Her leg had practically been severed, but her curse still collided.

'Get him... out of here..' she gasped, ignoring the conflicted look Pierre gave her as he hoisted the man into the air.

'It's over Enzo, we won't let you win.' He was handing the man to more pairs of hands, who were already prepared for this event.

"Thou cannot combat nature, I SHALL rise again, and let me assure thou, when I do... your daughter shall be one of the rest I go after..."

'Whatever.' Pierre scoffed complacently, clearly underestimating the damage Boniface could do.

'She would never yield to you, she is of pure intent.' Gillian muttered, knowing Boniface could hear it. 'Annette will became a great auror, just like her parents...' there was still worry in her tone, of course she cared about her daughter.

"Oh I know, I shall count upon that."

"As well as an heir... of mine."

'Did you not hear me? She will do what is right for the sake of everyone, she wouldn't submit to you.' Gillian almost snarled, mainly due to the pain from her leg. She was sure she'd need it amputated somehow..

'What heir? Who is he?' Pierre shook the man, knowing time was frittering away.

"Oh don't you know? I should think the news was clear throughout the royal circles. My daughter, has recently been blessed with a young one, a small child I am convinced will inherit my gift."

'Then you will leave my daughter out of this, please.' Gillian almost begged, collapsing.

'Okay time's up.' Pierre began dragging the man away.

"More than you know."


With that I let them take me away, readily waiting for my plans to swing into motion.

Having finally snuck out of the manor, the 30 year old Mael Noir was sitting in his favorite pub with all his favorite patrons. Mael was well known as a partier in this part of France, but not to the point of political negligence. He was just a guy who you could always have some good laughs with.

you have no idea how long it took me to remember his name..

ic Pierre was only a trainee auror, spending half his time wandering the streets of the city of love and the other half with his nose buried in a book. Being an auror was never easy, even at the lowest level in the Ministry. It was the reason why many in his profession found themselves in bars.

'Mael!' he raised a hand in greeting upon his own entrance.

The spitting image of his future son turned around, "Pierre!!! Hey buddy!" I stand up and pat him on the back, "Come to enjoy the little things?"
