You'll have to give me some pointers

if it's any consolation, my worst months are August and December. unfortunately for me that's when my holidays are, which means no distraction from my emotions and thoughts.

And i think its better to hide some things, mainly because otherwise people smother you and treat you like a china plate. They assume you're going to break because you're showing outward emotion

if you keep flying off the handle, people assume you've got no control over yourself so they take away your freedom.

bur when i hide it, mum just think im snking into depression again because thats when i stop talkinga dn everything, but when i show it, they think im going to break down.

okay, so although there aren't that many of them, homophobes in my town are pissing me off.

So one of my fellow teachers at the swimming club i help out at came out a couple weeks back. Of course i already knew (me and this guy get on really well, i usually co-teach with him), and most of the parents have figured it out by now from overhearing.

One of the parents of the kid in me and Tom's group approached me after lesson.
'why would you work with a faggot, i'd be wary if i were you. It ain't right.'

also, telling me that 'he might give you inappropriate teaching advice, he probably needs mental help' is just taking the mick. He's a homosexual, not a kiddy fiddler...

of course, i defended the shit out of him, so she goes and complains to our boss, saying it was a 'mistake to let us volunteer' and we might be a 'negative influence on her children. we'll promote unnatural acts'

WE TEACH SWIMMING to 4-8 year old KIDS. what are we going to do, give them sex advice? clearly not.

what annoyed me the most is that Tom is actually an amazing person. He's so considerate and makes teaching fun. His sense of humour is brilliant. This bitch starts hating Tom just because he's gay. And before she liked him as a teacher. Her kid likes him anyway.

So you guys know how I've been feeling iffy over my drama group for my assessment? Well, back on Wednesday we had a rehearsal that two of the people - lets call them M and J - didn't turn up to.

What a difference it made, especially when the teacher said that she was trusting us with the chapel (drama classroom) because she had to go somewhere.

The five of us that were left, plus half of my friend's group, had a brilliant time. Where usually rehearsals are annoying, this was fantastic. We made progress and then we mucked about and danced around and shit for the rest of the time.

So. Why the fuck are the two people in my group dragging the mood down like that? If they just stayed bloody positive, maybe we'd be more motivated.

Here's a thought for you, M and J - BE FUCKING POSITIVE AND MAYBE WE'LL GET SHIT DONE. Did you two ever think that it was YOU holding us back? M, stop being such a depressing, always-annoyed arse, we might actually be a bit more relaxed. And J, you're a good friend, but get off your phone in the rehearsal and pay attention to us, dammit.

even one person can completely change an atmosphere though. I can be really loud and talkative in some lessons but as soon as one of the really arrogant, clever boys (nicknamed the ego brigade) walks in i'll refuse to answer any questions in class etc.

Like, without M and J, we were all perfectly happy. I mentioned it to a couple of them, and they agreed that it was much better without them. If M and J hadn't been put in our group, it would be perfect.

well next time you gotta do all you can to avoid them

hell, i befriended the yr 10s in my french class because all of my fellow yr 11s in that class are arrogant dickheads and i REALLY didn't want to sit next to them. They used to point at my french work and say it was shit when it was more accurate than theirs -.-

and someone needs to tell M if he stops being an arrogant cunt then he's going to get a SHIT grade (along with everyone else..) Drama is a team subject, being a dickhead and not cooperating will get you nowhere.

J can do well when she puts her mind to it.

M's just a knob, plain and simple. He's just lucky I can be patient when I want to be.

Patience is wearing thin, thank God it's over on Wednesday

just be glad your core subject classes aren't compromised of 90% boys with tremendous egos that make you suffocate when you walk into the room
