I had heard River was hurt so I came up as fast as I could, "River, are you alright?" I whisper hoping the worst hadn't come.

There was no responce from the girl, lying stil on the bed, but Pomfreys head snaped up to see who was visiting her

"Madame Pomfrey, please tell me what happened.."

'Her brother happened.'

"Of course...." I clutch my knuckles.

"Is she...?"

'Shes fine. tecnically. The stupid girl drank the draught of the living dead. So really, she is in a deep sleep. Her brother doesnt know that though.' She nods to River. 'Talk to her. I am sure she can hear you.'

I let out a sigh of relief, "Oh thank god..."

"Hey Riv... listen, I know I was a bit of a jerk befor.... okay no, I was a HUGE jerk before. I only erased my mind because the pain of your betrayal was too hard to deal with."

"See, I lost a good many people in my life and the pain of that lose was just getting to me."

"Your friendship means a lot to me, and I still count you as family."

Lethe walks in, stopping as she sees Artemis. Her cheeks colour slightly, but she stars at him. 'You nearly destoyed her, Auror boy.'

"I didn't do this... you did..."

Lethe taps her head with her finger. 'Nope. I helped her. without meaning to. You taking away your memory hurt her more than you will ever know.' she snorts. 'I gav you both a flipping love potion but she never even needed it! she loved you already!'

'No i am not.' She rolls her eyes. 'Im trying to be nice. I am telling the truth.'

"And why... ?"

'because i am fed up of everyone hating me. dont get me wrong, i still hate the girl, but im not out to kill her anymore. Apparely her brothers doing that for me..'

"That makes no sense, he may be evil to the core, but his sister was the only tie he couldn't lose,"

'She pushed him futher than she should have done. and he lost it. It was always going to happen.'

"River..." I shake my head, "Without her, there's no telling what he'll do next..."

Lethe shrugs. 'This is her own fault. Shes to stubborn to see that her brother would hurt her too.'

"I just want my friends to be safe..."

'Then maybe you should show her you care and help her instead of trying to forget her and shouting at her.'

"I didn't mean to do that! I wasn't in my right mind!"

'and you think she is?'

"Just... stop alright."

She grins 'You know im right.'

"I'm not sure."
