I point my wand at her forehead and enter her mind gently.

Lethes mind was dark, still bitter but not directed at anyone else anyymore, but herself. SHe was being honest, she wanted to help the people she had hurt. She could feel him in there, so she brought forwards the part of her head connected to Rivers.
She couldnt control what he saw, just the dreams and thoughts running round the sleeping Rivers head.
It was perfect. Rivers mind flickered between images of what had happened with crouch. him throwing the spell at her, her drinking the potion. the determination and pity for her brother then changed into something else. Deaths face, laughing, hurting caring for her appeared, and there was confusion in her head, as he morphed into Artemis. Being the best frined, caring for her...Lethe could feel the pain she was almost throwing out, and knew the boy would as well. there was no doupt about what River felt.

I release the connection and fall onto a chair, "Sweet lord..."

'Hmm. At least you know now...'

"Seems I really ave misjudged everything..." 

"Firstly, accept my apology for my suspicions."

'You had reason for them. Im not exactly the most trustworthy'

"But it seems like you really are trying to turn over a new leaf so... I'll help you if I can."

'Oh, im fine' SHe waves a hand at him. 'Its River. and crouch that you have to look out for.'

"Especially the latter. If he thinks she's dead, there's absolutely no telling what he'll do."

'Then you better tell Pomfre to hurry up waking her.' She turns away, walking to the door. 'I'll keep watch on him. But artemis...Dont treat her different because of this. SHe cant help what she feels.'

"Of course, I wouldn't do that..."

'Good.' She turns and walks out, half wondering if River was going to kill her because she told artemis.

I approach Pomfrey, "Excuse me, madame..."

'What?' She looks up at the boy, frowning

"About how long will i take for River to heal?"

'Once i give her the antidote, not long. but she wouuld have to stay here to make sure she hasnt done lasting damage to herself. why?'

"Because I believe her brother is going to do something beyond terrible..."

'Well thats not my problem. she is my patent, not him.'

"Well is there anyway I can help you finish it faster?"

'No, thank you.' she looks at him. 'Let me do my job, Mr Strayer. besides, dont you think she needs the rest??'
