'Im looking for something that will stop my brother.'

"No way. I'm not getting involved in these sort of politics again.."

'If he isnt stopped, he could ruin everything. Hes more dangerous that voldemort was...becaue he has nothing to loose.'

"Why come here to stop him though?"

'You have some sort of stone...thing...i need.'

"What?" He looked at her like she'd just broken in for a cup of sugar. "You mean that hideous rock in the office?"

'Possibly?'

"If I give you it, will you promise me not only will you not get me involved, but also not tell him where you got it?"

I smile sadly at him. 'Theres a high chance that im going to die doing this, so your secret is safe.'

"Fine this way!" He stood up and brushed himself off. He didn't want to endanger his family again...

I folow him, frowning. 'You know...we are much the same, Malfoy. We both want to protect our familes but neither really agrees with them.'

"That's not true at all! I completely agree with mine!"

'I dont think you do...'

"What would you know about it..." He told her dismissively.

I grab his arm and pull him to a stop. 'I know more than anyone could imagine, malfoy. So dont just shrug and pretend like it doesnt kill you inside. Dont just look down at me because you canoot accept, even to yourself, that i am right.'

"Look you want that stone or not?"
 He pushed her off him and wiped down his arm like she infected it.

'I think at the moment, im more interested in this air you put out...Like, you were terrified of me killing you, and now you try to act like im dirt? Admit something, Malfoy. No one else can hear. Tell the truth, for once.'

"Why would you even care? It's not your business.." He sneered at her, "now come along, the sooner you get it the sooner you leave."

'Why shouldt I care? Your human, you need someone to care about you.'

"Well I don't need it to be you..."

I hrug. 'apparently im the one you have, so...'

"Well I don't want it to come from you..." He told her as they approached a large library. Cold gray marble decorated the floors and black large bookshelves swept over the room. Various bust and artworks brought a sense of importance to the room, as though all the world's most precious secrets were in these tomes.

'your family have more money than sense.' I  mutter before shaking my head. 'Trust me, malfoy, be glad i try t care, because having no one... its more lonely than you can imagine.'

He nodded his head solemnly as he took her over to one table which had the Colureye, a glowing gray stone with three crystal shaped spires pointing to the ceiling which were all connected to a flat center like a three fingered claw. Each spire was about the size of a water bottle but held infinitely more value than water for private collectors.

"Here it is, rancid looking thing isn't it?"

'Very.' I smile. 'But then, beauty and uglyness do not always mean anything when power is involved. as lng as it does the job i need it to do.'
