"Sounds like something you would do..." He thought for a minute of someone else he could pick a fight with.

"Any ideas?"

"Nope. I'm drawing up a blank." He pulled up a chair and fell into it. "He's back, Crouch. Ahriman."

"Oh is he? I always enjoyed him," crouch smiled at the return of his old friend.

He laughed without much humour. "Yeah, he's giving me headaches. Never shuts up."

"Certainly was a chatterbox, and that's coming from me..."

He smiled wryly. "Yes, he is. He doesn't approve of mine and River's relationship, like most others."

"Doesn't he?" Crouchs mind travelled to dark places. What if Ahriman were the superior death eater of the two?

IC "Nobody seems to approve of it. That's what I get for marrying a blood traitor after all."

IC He rubbed his temples in frustration. "I think I need a healthy distraction." He stood and addressed Crouch. "Do you wish to accompany me on a muggle hunt? For old times sake?"

"London? Somewhere where we won't raise too much suspicion. I'm still trying to avoid the Aurors."

"Avoid them? I thought you'd relish the chance of a fight with them."

"I'm still on the run for the death of Tide. Even though I didn't do it. I'd like to avoid another trip to Azkaban, please."

"Who? Oh right, the despicable trashes boyfriend, forgot about him.."

"He's a forgettable person."

"Pretty easy to manipulate though, I might've been able to get some more laughs from him."

"Yes, he was quite the wimp. Foolish to think that he could stand up against us." He motioned towards the door. "Shall we go, or are we going to stand around all day?"

"After you.."

The Dark Lord sat at the head of the table as his meeting with his various servants came to a conclusion. He didn't stir or make any sort of gestures of commodore toward them, he merely watched them exit as his attentions was turned to Nagini slithering at his heels, rubbing her head against it affectionately.

He waited for his personal summon, Raven to get here as so he might direct her against a possible threat he had discovered.

Raven walks in, bowing to her master immediately.  "You summoned me, My Lord?"

"Yes Raven, I have a task for you..."

"it strikes me now, given recent events that Crouch may be the best of the old... but in you, perhaps is the best of the new. His performance has been slipping recently, and Lord Voldemort must constantly be moving forward."

"It is for this reason I share a task for you..."

OOC  Did he really just say what I read?   

IC  She looks up at him, a bit surprised, "What is this task?"

OOC Remember, he doesn't feel any affection for Crouch. He's just as disposable as the other DE to him. That and I'm beyond curious how Crouch will feel with his master's disapproval :3
