The Great Hall

"How... quaint."

That's the first thing he thinks when he sees the Great Hall. A soft smile plays about his lips as he studies it.

All of those students... and they don't suspect danger lurking in their midst! Not even me, either! Death Eaters!

With my little escapade (love that word) in Eagle's headquarters finished, all I have to do is wait and see if he's smart enough to solve it. But knowing me, I doubt he will.

In the meantime I'll amuse myself with a simple metal ring puzzle. Challenging says the level.. HA! Challenging for a brain damaged monkey, but not I!

"Such an odd place," he says mostly to himself. His voice has a faint Irish accent, as if he's mostly forgotten about it, but it's still there, just at the edges of his words. "Fascinating, really, if you're into that kind of thing."

"I find this place of no great amusement, except for the lesser minds here." I address him, not once did my eyes leave my puzzle as I solve it with a minimum of effort.

"Oh, aren't normal people just adorable?" Jim looks over at him, chuckling. "So eager to please."

"Oh indeed, especially when they get defensive ove their mediocre, insignificant intellect." I reach into my bag and pull out a jigsaw puzzle and start putting it together.

"Especially then," he agrees. "'I'm the smartest!'" he says, putting on a high voice. "'I'm the best!' 'I'll get the furthest in life!' Pathetic, really."

"Indeed, they can't just accept the fact that I'm superior to all of them." The pieces are coming together in rapid succession while my full attention doesn't even seem remotely on it.

"May I inquire as to your name?"

"Jim Moriarty," he replies, offering a slightly twisted smile. "Only fair that I ask the same from you, don't you think?"

"I'll tell you what, let's make a game out of it. If you answer these riddles right, I'll tell you my name."

"I love games," he says, adding a sigh. "Do go on."

"It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. The poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you'll die. What is it?

"Nothing," he replies. "Do pick a more difficult one."

OOC: Ok

"Very well, I was testing the depth of your incompetence."

"Next riddle,"

"A man builds a house with all four corners facing north, a bear passes the house, what color is it?"

OOC this is a tricky one, just tell me if you need the answer.

IC: "White, you can only build a house with all four corners facing north if it's surrounding the north pole." Jim puts on a bored face. "Next."

OOC actually if all four corners face north it's on the South Pole and there's no bears there

I swear that was the one they used on "Young Sherlock Holmes".... And the answer was white...

OOC: I think the cheeky bastard flipped the riddle, Lir I just noticed that. I looked it up, most of them say the corners face south.
Facing south: Build it in the north
Facing north: Build it in the south

I shit you not, the poles switch. So it could be either, depending on the geological time period. North and South are an illusion.
