'Amaya.' He said quielty. 'Amaya, please stop.'

She heard him, but she continued the tune, face shadowed with concentratrion. Her fingers were on autopilot, flexing unusually fast, even for her.

Amaya had to finish.

He watched her carefully, but made no true move to stop the music.

She seemed to seize up, swiftly pushing the violin away from her and stopping her trembles. 'Doesn't usually happen...' she commented, peering over at him with a flash of concern.

'Fine.' it was her automatic response, eyeing the violin with a degree of suspicion before discarding it. She was probably ok, she always was.

She opened her arms, a silent sign of defeat.

He sighed quietly. 'Amaya, you know you can tell me anything, dont you?'

'I need a fucking hug.' how's that for telling you things? her sarcasm was a bit too sharp, like it became when she was frightened.

He pulled her to him, wrapping his arms round her protectivly.

'I was telling the truth you know, that doesn't usually happen.' she murmured softly in his ear, at ease in his embrace. 'Sometimes you don't play the music, it plays you...'

'It sounded so...' He shook his head, not able to find the right word. 'You better now?'

'Haunting?' she offered, before nodding. 'Yeah, music can change so easily, just like emotions.' Amaya found it difficult to explain, guess you had to play an instrument to understand.

He closed his eyes, kissing the top of her head without speaking. Trust was, he worried about her- more than he would let on.

'It's only music, it's fine.' she whispered again, arms sliding up to meet and loop around his neck.

He nods slowly, giving her a brief smile.

'See? no need to fret about it.' she grinned back, enjoying the contact for a moment. 'Seriously, don't worry.'

'I wont.' He said, still studying her. He kissed her briefly, before pulling away again.

'Shall we go down to the beach?' she laced her fingers between his, asking for his opinion.

He smiled. 'Yes. Come on then.' He pulled her up out of the chair, keeping his hand in hers.

Amaya lead the way, a leader as usual. She guided them onto the sands, throwing her shoes off and letting it fill the spaces between her toes. 'I haven't been to a beach since...'

Since I washed up in Margate half dead.

He bent down and filitered sand through his fingers. 'Ive never been on one.'

'i almost died on one. And in a bar. And a forest. A warehouse as well. Oh, Hogwar-' she cut herself off, knowing she had indeed nearly died in many places.

She shrugged, peering around. 'Gotta replace it with positive thoughts.'

He stood up and walked over to her, wrapping his arms round her waist. 'Your not going to get hurt on his one.'
