The boy moved his violin and set it by the piano, putting his hands in his pockets and walking to the exit of the Commonroom, to find Cynder.

She sat alone as usual, spinning the ring on her finger, paying no attention to the open transfigurations book in front of her. It's not like she needed to study that subject anyway, she was a damn animagus. She knew enough about changing her own form, let alone something else's.

He sauntered into the common room, seeing Sydnay on the couch. He came up behind her and hugged her. "Hola chica. I missed ya."

She took some time to work it out, realizing she had instantly relaxed into the hug. He feels different... 'You broke away from Death, again.' Sydnay stated it as fact, not turning around just yet.

She wasn't going to fight her way out of his grip, knowing it would cause a scene that she couldn't be bothered to handle. 'Yes, you feel different. But either way, i'm still engaged.' she emphasized plainly.

He straightened up with a sigh and came around to the front if the chair. He sat down in another chair across from her. "Why'd you say yes?"

She made a quick list, it wasn't long but she believed it was enough. 'One, he's almost as violent as I can be. Two, he loved me. Three, he constantly forgave me. Four, he also had a body of his own, therefore i could pursue my relationship with him.'

Sydnay didn't want to mention it, but between William and Ahriman...it had come down to the fact that William had a body, and she had known him better.

That pissed him off. He launched up out of his seat and began shouting at her, "DO YOU NOT SEE THIS BODY? ARE YOU BLIND, GIRL? I HAVE A BODY OF MY OWN NOW, THIS ONE IS PERMANATE!" He turned around and kicked a decorative vase. It flew across the room and shattered against the wall.

One of the shards almost managed to reach her, but she didn't back away. 'had being the key word, idiot.' she snarled at him, almost relieved his temperament made him easier to hate, to forget about.

'You had me too Ahriman, once upon a time. But guess what? Life's shit, get used to it!'

Sydnay had curled up slightly, remembering being in Azkaban again, the elation she had felt when William had turned up... 'At least he doesn't shout at me, he respects me.'

'Ahriman..' she paused, carefully rising to her feet and placing her arms around him. It was a gentle hug, hoping it would calm him down a little bit. 'I'm sorry.'

He clenched and unclenched his jaw several times. Her touch calmed him, but he was still mad. Was that the real reason she didn't bother with him? He didn't have a body. Well, he did now.

She found herself calmed as well, strangely at peace for a few moments before letting her arms fall almost reluctantly to her sides. 'Forgive me?'

"Never use my origin against me, Syd," he said, his voice cold. He pulled out his wand and repaired the vase with a quick spell.

'Don't disrespect my decisions.' she replied just as curtly, keeping her back stiff whilst she sank back into her armchair, sighing under her breath.

For a moment, she considered how different everything would've been had she not met William first, or if Ahriman had his own body originally. She probably wouldn't have a ring on her finger right now.

William might be cold sometimes, but i still love him. 'He saved my life, multiple times.' she muttered to herself.
