Why did she keep returning here...?

Perhaps it was her own desire to be as calm as the water was, only rippled by the warm breeze that disturbed it's surface.

No sign from Descole. No letter. No word. She didn't even think he was coming now.
And what was she going to tell Crest and Artemis and Topher? They hated him as much as anyone. They would laugh and jest at her for being so stupid to invite him.

She shivered slightly, hugging her knees to her chest, rubbing at the corners of her eyes slightly as she picked up a couple books near her.
She opened one, a study book, and then the other, her own personal sketch book.
She pulled a pencil from her own brown bag and looked carefully at the pages- legends of giant insects called Ohmu.
She smiled as she glanced at a picture of an old carving, began to sketch it's shelled form in her own book.

Ohmu... protectors, fearsome and yet kind...
If only she could be as brave as them...

-I run over to Cynder.- "Cynda'! Hey!"

A small jump, a wrong brushstroke.

Cynder began thickly erasing at her pencil mark, turning her head to Joachim.

"... oh, Joah. Hey...~"

-I hand her a vial, albeit forcefully.- "Drink two drops of this, it'll cure ya of Crouch's crap..."

A blink, the girl put her pencil down, making sure her book was still open before moving her watercolor water away so it wouldn't get kicked onto the library books.

She paused, making sure the paint coloring the Ohmu's shell would not smear if she moved her arm over it.

Once she was positive, she took the vial carefully in her hand and stared at it for a moment.

"You mean... this... this will get rid of the Cheerful Night..?"

"No, I was just screwin' with ya..." -I say sarcastically.-

"of course it will!"

So there's a cure now?!

Yep! I'll have Top send some back with Crest

A relieved look, Cynder took the cure and unstoppered it, opening her mouth and dripping two drops on her tongue.

She plugged the vial sgain and closed her mouth, grimacing as she swallowed the stuff.

"Aug... it doesn't taste very good.."

"Hey, at least ya ain't gonna be cucko for coca puffs now.."

A snicker, the girl handed the vial back to Joa, a relieved look flashing in her eyes.

"... Oh, I suppose not. Thank you, Joa... how did you find that? I thought... it could never happen... Perhaps now the Raptor will leave me alone..."

A small sigh, a smile, the Girl put her things down and stood, hugging Joa for a moment before turning away, to the waters.
Even though this had ended, there was still much on her mind.

".... Thank you so much, Joa... really.."

"I didn't have jack to do with it... Ace did it all... Ace and Potion."

-I sigh, looking down at the ground.-

A scowl, the girl again sat down, picking up her book again, giving a kind smile as she resumed her colors, brushing a few long, black strokes.

"Don't say you don't have anything to do with it Joa. Your brought it to me here... so I thank you. That's more kindness than even making it..."

"Kindness like Ged has, and you got... but for some reason seems to have skipped over the petty, cold wretch that is me..."
