I squeeze Crest's hand back, a slight gulp at the dark look he gave mentioning Crest's name. No... It's okay... He knows nothing; don't ruin the whole mission just because you're scared...

"You seem to hold a grudge against the last one." I look at Sam as though to say, 'The more he talks, the less he looks.'

Crap... Don't panic... DON'T PANIC!! That'll only make things worse! Calm down. "Well, I don't really have anything to say... My husband's saying it all for me." I try my best to keep my voice level.

Walking down to the records, I stop at the sight of Ace, "Miss Morgentine, it is a pleasure to speak with you."

'You're an auror, be more assertive for yourself. There's no need to rely on others.' it was more of an instruction than advice, but he asked them one more time.

'Now are you coming with me, or are you going to keep distracting me?'

Crest: I look over at Sam and smile reassurigly.

Auror Smith: "Apologies, my abilites are a bit shaky. And yes I do know about your friends, however they do not interest me. You however, do."

'I have nothing that can interest you.' she replied coldly, knowing that stalling him for time wouldn't work considering she was so close to the records room.

Boris was on the level above the records room, peering over at the pair. 'Cayden assign you to this mission then?' he was still testing them, it was the last time he'd do so before letting them off.

I give him a small smile back, feeling a bit more reassured. Everything's fine...

Smith: "On the contrary you do. You seem to be the crossroad, the inpass if you will with two individuals of great interest to the Ministry."

Crest: "Naturally, did you think we were down here for milk and cookies?"

I shout out in surprise, jumping in front of Crest so one hits me instead of him, panicking. I fall to the ground, stunned.

Crest: My eyes widen for a moment before returning fire, the gel falling from my hair to reveal silver.

"SAM!" I hold her and set her aside gently so I can continue fighting without her being harmed.

Smith: "I wouldn't advise that. I'm not your enemy."

Smith: "You misunderstand me. It is not your family I seek anymore. Though, let the record show you have my condolences over your lose." These words weren't false, but they didn't seem true either.

Crest: Hardening my mind and body with resolve, I fire spells back at him. Nonfatal, I can't kill him.

Crest... I need to help... But I can't move... At least it was me who's stunned and not him. He's stronger than I am, so he needs movement. But still... I want to help... My body's frozen but my mind isn't. Telekinesis... But what can I move around that'll help? Be ruthless like my father?

'Then what the hell do you want from me, and hurry up with it, my sister's in a coma.' Ace remained entirely plain faced, but her irises seemed to be shrinking slightly, as if she were mentally faltering.

'So who is Sam to you? Wife? girlfriend? partner in crime?' Boris threw up a shield, holding his own for now. 'Perhaps I should knock her out to see what happens?' he was inching towards her, slowly..

"Firstly you will be allowed to leave with no legal ramifications at all and also I have certain medical strings I can pull to aide your sibling."

Boris made a small 'oof' sound as all the air flew out of his lungs, before he brought up his knee to kick Crest squarely in his midsection, at the bottom of his ribcage.

No, Boris can't get near me, that'll make matters worse and Crest more reckless... I still have my mind.... Push Boris back? Hold him down the longest I can? That could work... And it wouldn't hurt him so badly... I need to do something!

Smith: "I see.... that is unfortunate. It would seem none of your family is able to see reason when it presents itself to you."

Crest: I make a small grunt and look to Sam, "Please dearest... I need your help."
