Ministry of Magic (British)

"Sadly such is rare, even one of my best friends, Topher isn't a straight arrow sometimes."

-Located in the Ministry of Magic lies a round-robin paper, a sheet of parchment in a circular shape. Inscribed upon it are the names and code names of all the Strayers, however as with a typical round-robin all the names are also written following the shape of a circle. The purpose of this is to make hierarchy impossible to determine.-

-As well the parchment is actually two sheets of paper atop each other, both of which can spin. The top sheet as the code names, the bottom has the real names. But the puzzle is not laid out to be obvious. A special bit of magic expands the spacing from one name to the next as it rotates so that no matter where the puzzle rest, the spacing between names would fit perfectly.-

-Solving it is possible, however three code and real names have to be known. If they are known, one can touch the names on the round robin to lock them in place, lighting in a flash of gold. The rest of the puzzle will be able to be solved correctly, a gold light flashing when it's correct.-

-This round robin was a symbol of two things. The first being the trust between the Ministry and the Strayer family forged all those years ago. The second being the distrust between the Strayers and the rest of mankind, as to not even trust their allies with their real names.-

I run in, knocking on the Minister's office door.

-The Minister of magic was shuffling through paper.- "What?"

"Minister! This is important!" I open the door, but I don't step inside. "It's about the Strayer's! May I come in?"

-The ruffle of papers stops abruptly.- "Come in."

"Minister..." I look frantic and alarmed, like any member would be hearing this news, "The Strayer's... They've been planning an attack on the Ministry!"

-I shake my head in disbelief.- "That's not possible, they've been our stauchest allies!"

"It's true! I saw them! They had blueprints, marking it for their attack!" I take out a paper, which I magically wrote what I saw, putting it on the Minister's desk. "They want more power!"

-I watch the paper and sure enough, it was a perfect blueprint of the Ministry.-

"Then our worst fears have been realized. We must strike quickly if the Ministry is to survive."

I nod, "What would you like me to do?" On the outside I look fearful of the Strayer's plan, but on the inside I'm grinning and laughing madly. You're through, Strayer's...

"I'll get all aurors loyal to the Ministry to hunt them down. They're fugitives now for attempted coup d'etat. We have to get them while we still have the advantage."

I nod, "Excellent sir... Would you like me to go and alert them?" Damn, I wish I could just attack...

"Do it now. We can't waste another second." -I'm sorry Crest, you're a good auror...-

I nod, "Right away, sir!" I run out of the room, struggling to find the auror office, but still grinning inside. Marvelous!

-I walk inside Cayden office.-

"Auror Cayden, you have a new assignment, one that takes precedent above everything else."

"That's correct. They've been conspiring against us for several years it seems."

"This is SERIOUS Cayden." -I snap at her.-

"There's evidence. An eye witness and not to mention Crest's recent attack doesn't help their case."

"And I am the Minister of Magic (I can start fires with my mind, I know the mayor of Venus, Hamburgers can see the future!!)

"You obey this order, or your out Cayden. You know how dangerous they can be."
