Descole laughed, his stormy grey eyes lighting up and stirring with joy and gleeful interest.

"Would she now? Funny, everyone I know would probably wonder what on earth I'm after for this to happen."

'She's been in azkaban for years, she doesn't know much. Are you after anything by any chance?' her question was polite and unassuming, her smile still soft and slightly lopsided.

A crooked smirk, Descole chuckled again.

"What do you think, mm?"

The man leaned again toward the woman and gave her a small, short kiss, soft but loving.
And, if one dared think, almost teasing.

Descole chuckled again, smirking, his expression soft and kind.

"Oh, perhaps... but then again, maybe not.."

The man inhaled slowly and shook his head lightly.
"... it took me so long to let go of Clare.. but now that I have.. I almost feel free again.."

A wave of thoughtful sorrow swept over Descole's soft grey eyes as he looked at Cayden's hands, which held his own.

"... and I was so blind by it to not realize there was one person so willing to help me open up..."

A weak laugh, Jean looked Cayden in the eyes.

"You're a good woman, Annete..."

Jean took in a deep breath before smiling, his eyes going softer, giving an almost vulnerable look.

"You do not have to be grateful for anything.."

A smirk, he slowly wrapped his arms around Cayden, and once more, kissing her forehead slightly, sighing.

"... we should both get rest.."

She had completely forgotten about it. 'Huh? oh...of course! she smiled sheepishly and handed it over politely, taking one last chance to study his face again.

A chuckle, Descole smiled and nodded before slipping his mask back on, eyes again being shrouded by the thing.
He smiled again before turning.

"You promised you would rest if I did. And I'm going to now... Good evening.."

A grin, the man nodded and tipped his hat before moving toward the door, actually ready to sleep now.

And he left the office, feeling happier then he had in ages.

A content sigh escaped her lips as she sat down in her office, relaxing, thinking. It was alright to not be so stoic after all.

The man walked in, pulling his black trenchcoat tighter, keeping his trilby cap and sunglasses firmly in place as he entered the records room. He didn't even achknowledge the clerk as he strolled straight into the M section.

It was like nobody cared as he pulled out one file in particular. It wasn't very weighted, only containing a few loose sheets and one photo, just enough information to use to his advantage. No, not to his advantage, to his employer's advantage.

The front of the file read Ace Morgentine.

The cloaked man returned to Boris's office on the higher floors, placing the small file on his desktop. 'There, the file on the Morgentine kid.'

Boris leafed through the lackluster and meagre file, it practically had nothing in it, as if most of the evidence of Ace's existence had been erased.

Or she hadn't existed for a long period of time.

There was one recent page in the measly folder, and the auror pulled it out, smirking. 'Seems she enrolled at Hogwarts not too long ago...if her sister being put in Azkaban doesn't lure her here, then I guess that's where we're going next.' he put the file in one of his desk drawers, locking it with a simple spell.

The other man in shades nodded and left Boris in peace, knowing he'd be called upon again when he was required.

She arrived in an alley outside of the Ministry building, straightening to her full height, stepping out casually. Ace had slotted in green contacts and magicked her hair colour to a light brown, knowing looking plain would help her go unnoticed.

Slowly, she ascended the steps to the Ministry, passing through the first set of guards without even receiving a suspicious glance.

Ace pressed the button for the elevator, patient as ever.

Descole paced through into the Ministry again, ruffling through a few papers and growling to himself as he usually did.

A pause, he noticed a strange girl he had never seen. And yet he didn't really mind.
A simple pique in curiosity was all.
And wonderful, she was, too, waiting at the elevator.

He waited quietly behind her, still shuffling through his paperwork with a lazy and thoughtful expression.

A bead of sweat trailed down her palms, clamming up with nerves for a moment. Ace exhaled sharply, letting her tension go as the doors opened.

'What floor? I'm going to the bottom.' her voice was a light and airy murmur above the general noise of the current floor.

Descole looked up, his expression blank and calm.

This girl... she seemed nervous..

But the man brushed it off and sighed lazily.
"Bottom, as well. A few things to... file.."

She watched as the doors closed behind them, Ace was trapped in an elevator with an auror.

Exhaling again, she still spoke with a light tone. 'Sorry, I get claustrophobic, I hope you understand.'

This transportation couldn't go any slower.

She was completely anxious, he could tell.

He tensed slightly before scowling at the girl.

"... no, I understand.. What business do you have on the bottom floor..?"
