Dumbledore's Office

He stared back down into her eyes, willing the prickling sensation at the back of his own the vanish away. Willing to keep a brave face. "No matter what," he said, mouthing the words. Finally the people from Mungos arrived in the office, their faces impassive. Ivor held onto Navy even more tightly. "I want to go with her. I need to go with her."

I continue to look up at his eyes as Mungos workers bustle around and discuss what would happen. I blot everything else out and just look up at Ivor. Nothing else registers as I watch him almost in slow motion. Things were starting to go fuzzy and my eyes began to lul. Don't leave me...

Madam Pomfrey tried to stop him, "Morozov, perhaps it might be better if you stayed her-" but Ivor shook her off and Dumbledore shook his head.
"I think it would be best if the boy did accompany Miss Malfoy to Mungos," he said with quiet authority. Ivor shot him a grateful glance as he laid Navy down on a stretcher. He kept a tight grip on her hand and followed the Mungo staff back to Mungos.

-I come to Dumbledores office and knock on the door, a moment later, Dumbledore says 'Come in', slowly i enter-

-Dumbledore smiles- Hello, Miss Sherbet. Are you ready?

i am. -smiles back, taking in her surroundings. she spots fawkes-

Dumbledore- We must go to Hogsmeade and apparate from there. I am very looking forward to meeting your sister.

So am i, Professor.

-Dumbledore gestures to the door- Shall we?

-I walk out the door and dumbledore follows-

-Topher and Potion walk up to Dumbledore's office-

Topher: -I knock on the door-

Dumbledore: Please come in...

She opened the doors and they walked in.

Dumbledore: -Smiles- Ah Miss Koller. I can't say I've been introduced to your friend here...

Topher: Name's Topher. I know this is a bit unorthodox but I was wondering if it was too late to become a student here.

Dumbledore: -Smiles- It is never too late to pursuit higher knowledge Mr. Topher. If you'd like we can sort you right now...

She smiled at Dumbledore.-Thank you so much sir.
She turned to Topher and smiled widely at him.

-Dumbledore finds the sorting hat and brings it down and pulls out a stool-

Dumbledore: Please take a seat...

Topher: -I sit down-

-The sorting hat is placed on my head-

Sorting Hat: Hmmm.... difficult. A very keen mind, brave at heart... there's loyalty for sure. Just where to put you?

Topher: Please Ravenclaw.

Sorting Hat: Ravenclaw eh? Well if that's your choice... RAVENCLAW!

She clapped her hands and smiled widely when she heard where he was sorted, and she ran to him and hugged him.-We're in the same house!

Topher: -I smile widely and hug her back- This is perfect!

Dumbledore: -smiling a little, he goes over to one of his cabinets and pulls out a Ravenclaw Robe- I'm afraid this is a hand-me-down but hopefully it'll be fine until you can buy yourself robes of your own.

Topher: -I take the robes from him and put it on, it's a little too big but not too bad a fit- Thank you professor. My financial situation is a bit tight right now...

She looked at Dumbledore.-Thank you so much professor.
She turned to Topher and hugged him again.-This is amazing!

O o c Have to go soon... still have a few minutes though...

Topher: -I hug her back- It sure is! I can't wait to see the Common Room...

Dumbledore: -I smile and take a seat a my desk, young love...-

She smiled at him.-You'll love it, I am sure! It is the most beautiful common room in Hogwarts!

-i come to the door just as Dumbledore opens it- Miss Sherbet! i was just going to find you. Please, come in. -he gestures to the desk and chair inside his office. I walk in holding Sirius in my arms. i sit down and Dumbledore sits in his chair.- Now, i guess you have come to see me about last nights events, have you not? -i reply- yes Professor. It wasn't me, i didn't do anything to Filch. -Dumbledore nods- of course, i believe you. No student could do something like that. -i sigh with relief- is Flich ok? -i ask- Yes, he is perfectly fine, but we are investigating who could have done this and why. Our best guess is that a Death Eater has done it. -i look at the floor and mumble- What if..if they were not targeting Filch. What if they were targeting....me. -I look up at Dumbledore who frowns- I do not know, Sherbet. Come with me to the Hospital Wing. I will check to see how Argus is doing, and then i can take you to the hall. You can't be let out of sight. -I nod and head to the door. Dumbledore follows and shuts the door behind him-

Having watched the room for a while, Danial had finally seen Dumbledore wallk out.
He smiled, running up and sneeking in. Looking around the office, he narrowed his eyes, untill they spotting a big set of cupboards at the back. opening them, he saw the student records- something every school had, but not everyone know about. Flicking through them, he found Rivers, and Crouchs. picking them both up and slipping them in his bag, he closes the cupboard and left the room.

And then Dumbledore walks back in and doe nothing because well what the hell else is he good for in this world?

ooc crouch, shh! lol, its ok, he will put them back. Dumbledore will never know...

I knock on the door and it opens slowly. 'Sir? are you in here?'
There was silence. I walked in, frowning. Where was he? I walk up to the desk and pull out a chair, sitting down before i heard a voice.
'River Seth. I wondered when you would turn up here.'
I stood up and turned around 'Whos there?'
A small chuckle. 'I am nothing but the sorting hat, Miss Seth.'
I walk over and see the hat on the shelf. lifting it down carefully i put it on the table. 'How did you know i would come here?'
'I may be a hat but i hear many things. The headmaster talks alot, you know. and he worries.'
Anger flashes in my eyes. 'Thats his own fault.'
'Partly. But could you not have changed anything you have done?'
I groan, feeling mad. i was talking to a hat. 'Couldnt you?'

I'm pretty sure if hats could smile, it would be. 'Are you refuring to me putting you in Slytherin, Miss Seth?'
'Possibly. I mean...im not really a slytherin. i see everyone else, people like my brother, then i look at me. Im not one of them...'
'Maybe not yet. But you are, Miss Seth. You have determination. You know exactly what you want. That may not be the same as others in your house, but it is still there. You have many choices ahead of you. And i am sorry to say that many of them will make you understand why you are in the house you are in. Maybe you are more of a slytherin than other students- because you dont know that you are one.'
I dont respond for a while. 'What do you mean, choices?'
'You will see, Miss Seth.' He hat sighed, and closed its mouth. I gently put it back on its shelf, then turn towards the door, just as Dumbledore walked in.
'Miss Seth, is something wrong?'
I smile. 'No Sir. it doesnt matter now...'

-They knock on the door and they hear an old voice.-
Come in!
-Andrew pushes open the door and Sherbet walks in behind him.-
Hello Professor -Andrew says-
Good Afternoon, Mr Urie, Miss Sherbet. -He nods to them both.- Please, sit down.
-They sit down. Sherbet looks at Fawkes and smiles. Andrew coughed-
You wanted to talk, Professor?
Yes, i did. I wanted to talk about Sherbets Mother.
-Andrew looked at Dumbledore, curiously. Oh Merlin.-
I-I urm, what did you want to know?
-Sherbet looks at Dumbledore also. He looks at them through his spectacles.-
There is something you should know, Sherbet. I don't think your father has told you just yet.
-Andrew swallows as Dumbledore continues.-
I think he would rather I told you. -He clears his throat- Your mother, was living in London, quite near your sister actually. I was keeping close contact with her. She didn't want to contact you too much, she thought it would make you miss her too much.
-Sherbet took a deep breath- Oh. -Is all she could say. Dumbledore continued-
About a month ago, I realised she wasn't sending any letter back to me, and I knew something was wrong. I travelled to your mothers house where I found her. Dead. -Sherbet couldn't take it.- Sh-she was d-dead? -She started to cry-
I'm afraid so. -Dumbledore said sadly. Andrew was as still as a statue. Sherbet looked at her father in confusion, then back at Dumbledore.-
H-h-how did she d-die? -Dumbledore looked directly into Sherbets eyes and said exactly what she didn't want to hear.-
Your father, killed her.
-She screamed in shock and aggressively and stood up, dropping her fathers hand out of her.-
YOU KILLED HER?
-Andrew didn't look at Sherbet and didn't say a word. Dumbledore walked over to Sherbet and put a protective hand on her shoulder. She cried and sobbed into his shoulder.- Andrew, I think you should leave.
-Andrew stood up and walked out the office, slamming the door behind him-
he lied to me. -Sherbet said in a small voice and sobbed.-
I know. -Dumbledore released Sherbet. fawkes flew over to them and perched on Sherbets shoulder.- Fawkes will accompany you back to your Dorm. If you need to talk to me, you can come at anytime you want. -He patted her shoulder gently and she looked up at him.-
Thank you Professor. -She said and sniffed sadly, walking out of the office and back to her Dorm, Fawkes protectivley on her shoulder.-

Hear that? That is the sound of Crouch having a field day!
