Persephone paused.

Artemis' sense of duty... and those darker grey hairs that were lining his own silver hair.
A twinge of recognition.

Fade.....

The woman pointed her wand at her legs and spoke firmly.

"finite.."

Freed from the charm, she stood, her body soaking from the water.

".... I grow tired of this... but I... pity you... come, I'll return you to your silly little school, and we will hear no more of this.."

"Wha... what are you talking about?" -I look at her confused.-

A wrinkled nose, Persephone snapped back firmly.

"What do you think I was talking about idiot? Watermelons?"

"I'm not returning... I'm here to defeat you! To save my children from you. I'm not leaving with you in handcuffs!" -I try to stand again, but the knife wounds in my leg get the better of me and I fall over.-

A grimace, Persephone sighed and strode over to Artemis, grabbing his arm roughly with her thin fingers.

"You're coming with me, come on..."

.... He had Fade in every inch of him. And she couldn't help but think of him as she apparated the both to Hogsmeade.

Over the river and through the swamp,
To Hogsmeade we go...

Persephone had burned the pair of shoes she owned before, gotten a new pair of black boots.


She lied in her cot-like bed for a while before exhaling slowly.
A sudden lurch and a boil in her bowl.

She shot up and moved to it, running her hand over the water.

And there they were.
Two children.
...
Showtime.

Ah, it was good to be home!

Persephone slumped into her bed, giving a long sigh, relaxing for once.

"Oh, that cell gave me the worst back ache ever.."

"They aren't exactly designed with comfort in mind." -I say leaning against the door, my face still stoney as ever.-

The woman sat bolt upright, looking to Crest with a slightly startled expression before it melted into a smirk.

"No, I can't say they are. They should be, though. You aren't going to make friends that way.."

"I don't care to make friends." -I scoff like the mere notion was absurd.-

"What I do care to make are alliances."

The woman smirked and closed her eyes, laying back down and crossing her arms over her chest.
She let out a long sigh.

"And what is so important about being my ally, mm?"

"Quite simple. The Strayers and the Ministry stand in the way of my ambitions. And I happen to know for a fact there's no shortage of adversaries either of them have."

The woman took in a deep breath, opening one eye to gaze after Crest for a few moments.

".... and what is it you want me to do, mm?"

"As I didn't know about you until this all began this leads me to think you may have contacts that would prove useful to my purposes. And then of course there's also the matter of myself being rusty with the Dark Arts, having not been allowed to use them for several years."

The woman gave a thoughtful look, taking a moment before sitting up again, glancing at him.

"... so you want training..? I'll have to put it out that it wont be free, Crest.."

"I don't have anything of value." -I state simply.-

A pause, a small smile, the woman raised a brow.

"Except connections."

She reached lazily to a shelf near the bed, pulling two home-made dolls from it, tossing them to Crest with a lazy hand.

"... I haven't given up my hunt for your niece and nephew.."

-I look at the dolls heartlessly, despite my entire heart begging me to leave.-

"I'm afraid such will not be possible. All Strayer based security will have changed, not allowing me access to them. Artemis is also, regrettably intelligent. He'd know every move I'd try to make."

"And what's to say that he knows what you've done..? You're a clever and skilled boy, Crest. I know you can pull it off- the only one to actually beat Descole... you can certainly get a hair from a baby's head..."


A cold laugh, the woman sat now on the edge of the bed, her eyes dark and cruel.

"... what do you say..? A favour for a favour..."

-I can't show heistation, that would be a dead giveaway, but I also don't have to apply my all into it.-

-I nod my head and turn to walk out.-

The woman smiled after the boy for a moment, calling out one last thing to him.

"You're a strong boy, Crest.... I'm glad you chose what you did.."

"It wasn't a choice. I was ALWAYS this way."

"But it was your choice to see it.."

A smile, Persephone ran her fingers through her black hair, standing up with a long sigh to tidy up her home in the hot swamps of Bahr Al Jabal.
