The pass the baby to Rhi and she looks down at him.

OOC: Rhi's caramel hair, Jay's green eyes. I think. That's what I've been going on in the Next Generation RP anyways.

IC: Jay stares, starting to smile. "He's wonderful..."

She pushes the blankets away from his face with a finger and smiles. His eyes weren't quite open yet but his eyebrows worked weakly as he tried to open them. Rhi pressed her nose to his tiny nose and then kissed his forehead as gently as she could. "He's so delicate..." She whispered, as though even loud noises could break him.

Jay places an arm around her shoulders and perches beside her, still looking at Jasper. "He was worth it," Jay mutters.

She remains silent and touches his finger with hers, instinctively he curls his hand around her finger and squeezes as tightly as the newborn could. "Course he was." She looks up at Jay, "Do you wanna hold your son?"

A warm feeling blooms in his chest at the words. My son...!

"Yeah... please..."

She lifts the baby toward Jay, her arms shaking with fatigue.

Gently, so as not to jostle him, Jay makes a cradle out of his arms and settles Jasper into them.

She looks up at them from her hospital bed and her eyes sparkle.

IC: Jay kisses Jasper's forehead and, after holding him until he falls asleep, he places him in a cot by the bed, smiling.

I'm... I'm a father...

Rhiannon had fallen asleep but woke up groggily as the nurse gently touched her shoulder. "You'll be able to leave by this time tomorrow." She told Rhi, who smiled and thanked her for her help. They brought in food and the sort and afterwards let Rhi hold her baby. Hovering the curtains closed so Rhi could have some privacy, they left. "Where's daddy gone, hmm?" She cooed to Jasper. "He'll be back soon, it's okay." The baby gargled in what Rhi assumed to be pleasure. She kissed his head and held him to her breast as she lay back down again. "You're more perfect than I imagined."

"Congratulations Rhia..."

Wha-? She looked up, "Crouch! Hi! Thanks." She lifted herself awkwardly into a sitting position.

"He'll be a strapping young lad I can tell."

"He'll get his astonishing looks from me," she says jokingly with a wink. "Although..." She looks in a reflective surface across the room and cringes slightly.

-I look confused.- "What's up?"

"This bloody gown does not suit me. And my hair... Jesus..." She looks down at Jasper and strokes his soft tufts of hair.

-I let out one chuckle.- "I'm sure Jay doesn't mind..."

"He doesn't have a choice." She smirks. Jas lay perfectly in Rhiannon's arms. As though they had been moulded to fit exactly him. She picked him up as gently as she could under the arms and supporting his neck and looked to Crouch. "Do you want to hold him? Please don't even pinch him or I will have to kill you."

-I frown.- "Excuse me, but I've had Alexis longer than you've had Jasper, I believe I know how to hold an infant."

-I hold him.- "Hey buddy boy, guess what? My daughter will probably be your teacher when she's strong enough to be the Head DE."

She laughs, "If he's anything like me, he won't see your daughter as merely Head DE." She tried to keep the smile off her face unsuccessfully.

"well, I'd consider him a lucky man to have my daughter... he'd have to do much to impress me and convince me he is worth of her."

"I'm sure he would..." She looks fondly at Jasper and the baby opens it's eyes the tiniest crack. She holds her arms instinctively out toward him.
