'Of course I'm sure, why would I want to talk about the person I loved being in a grave?' she felt tears threatening in her eyes again, she wasn't strong enough to act like she was fine.

The gosspiers said nothing, watching like silent statues.

He shook his head. "I'm not buying it Maya. I think you need to tell someone. I'm here."

He looked back at everyone else. "Scram! Especially if you want to live." He pointed his wand at them. They stared at him wide-eyed, then they took off. He put his wand away and looked back at Amaya. "There no one is going to overhear now."

The emptiness of the common room made her relax a little, speaking slowly, trying to keep her voice from cracking.

'F-Fuin got shot because of me, by the Ministry.It hit him here.' she placed a hand beside her heart.

'He died of blood loss, and he wasn't even the intended target, it was me. I should be dead.' Tears slipped from her eyes, silently. It was as if all of her old scars had been re-opened, her grief renewed.

"At least he died with honour. He took a bullet for you." He smiled sadly.

She shook her head despairingly. 'You don't get it! It was supposed to be me he was burying, not the other way round! I-I shouldn't be alive right now!'

Amaya's knees gave way, covering her face with her palms, trembling violently.

He squatted down next to her and pat her shoulder comfortingly. "If you give up he'd have died in vain Amaya. Don't make his death be in vain."

'How? How am i supposed to move on when everyone I care about dies?' her voice had practically shattered, leaving a hoarse whisper behind.

'three of my sisters are dead. And that's not the sort of care i meant....' her bony fingers reached to twirl with the hair tie on her wrist.

He smiled. "Okay, so two people are dead. So what? Your life isn't over." He shrugged.

She shook her head profusely, irritation building. 'You don't get it. It's happened before. Why am I even talking to you? you're an arsehole.' Amaya started walking sharply to the girl's dorm.

He shrugged again. "You're right I'm an asshole...and you're a bitch." He smirked. "You wanna give up just because two people died. Ha! Death is a part of life."

If she'd had her knives with her, she would've stabbed him by now, but instead her fist curled and she threw it towards his face, the sound of skin connecting making her smirk.

'Laugh at me again and I'll kill you. You harass my sisters, you're not fit to live.' she spat, leaving empty-handed, about to walk out the door.

Ooc Aw, Ahriman can't seem to have a friend other than Death. Speaking of when can they talk to Lukas?

Ahriman called her a bitch, do you really think she's going to like him after that?
'Don't laugh at me!' she snapped at him, flipping him the bird as she slammed the door to the common room behind her.

The only thing that was keeping her walking was her anger.

Once again, the girl was alone in the common room, playing a soft tune with her violin, ignoring the world around her.

Admittedly, she was feeling better as the days went on, but the pain of losing the people she loved wasn't going to fade completely.

but she would be alright, in the long run.

Amaya planted herself on the bench beside the piano, lifting up the lid and resting her fingers on the keys. She knew a few chords, only enough to support her gentle voice. Expression stoic, she started to sing, placing the chords where appropriate.

This time her mind is made up

It's not like her spirit's crushed
It's just she don't belong

Maybe she thinks too much

The chords had been clashing until this moment, her voice raising sharply yet sweetly.

And she sings, I want to know what love is

She paused, before carrying on the tune.

Always looking for love
She's beginning to think she's cursed

Amaya took in another intake of breath, repeating the chorus adamantly, almost desperately as she poured all of her raging emotions into her words.

And she sings, I want to know what love is

But God he knows, I got a heart of gold.

Once the sounds of the piano had died away, she closed the lid, consumed with her thoughts and relishing the silence once more.

I had run for the week, wanting to leave the school, but it was no good. i had no where else to go really...
So in the ealry hours, i had snuck back in, and sat in the corner of the common room, away from other people

The girl had somewhat vanished for the last few days, but her silence hadn't been fruitless.

The opposite, actually.

By taking the time to stop and think, to observe the world around her, she'd picked up a few things. One, Meredia and Topher were after William. Two, Lukas was a kitsune, and she knew his greatest weakness. Three, she was utterly and indescribably bored.

Four, she didn't want to be seen as a soft Death Eater.

Smirking widely, she flicked through the student books, wondering who's life she could make hell. She could've just executed a mass murder, but that wouldn't be very tactful.

Sydnay's fingers found the list of new transfers, and a manic laugh erupted quietly from her lips, she'd chosen her target.
