Chezhekov's Headquarters

"I seem to recall doing business with your father, he got me to ally with Voldemort to begin with. Spoke highly of you. And you do seem pretty resourceful to get in here without detection." Ever the pragmatist, Chezhekov thought of a new angle where he could walk away alive and get a new addition to his organization.

"You're probably doing this as some kind of debt... probably from some dog trying to usurp me."
 
"I'll tell you what I'm going to do. You give me the name of who is trying to bump me off, I'll offer you a place in my fold. It's safe from the law, and it'll make use of your considerable skills again..." 

"Refusing me wouldn't be smart..."

"Why would I sell out my employer and join your ranks? I don't even know you. My father never once mentioned a Chezhekov to me." He didn't mean to sound like a smartass, but he was befuddled by this man's offer.

"I keep my associations pretty low key. It's a necessity when you're a wizard crime lord of my calibur..."

"I still find it hard to believe a man that I've never even heard of is a powerful crime lord. I'm sure if you were really as powerful as you say I'd have heard of you. Even if only through the Death Eaters."

"I try to keep quiet about my existence. Besides, if you actually need proof explain this manor... Or the army of guards, or the vast riches or the murder that is going to appear in the daily prophet tomorrow."

"So you want to make a deal? Get me to sell out my employer in exchange for an alliance with the Death Eaters. Am I correct?" He put on a show that he was slowing turning to Chez's plan.

"Death, in my line of work you learn when to recognize a sinking ship when you see one. The death eaters are yesterday's news. I'm offering you a spot with my lot in exchange for telling me the ray who needs to get snuffed."

"You're a smart man, resourceful.. You deserve to be more than a common hit man like he's making you do..."

He nodded in agreement. "What exactly would I be doing for you though?"

"Well you've more than qualified yourself to be one of my lieutenants. You'd get a very generous cut of our profits in exchange for running some things to my specifications..."

He made a thoughtful noise as he pondered the position. "Lieutenant you say?"

"Yes, and all you have to do is give me a name..."

"What if I don't have a last name? Only the first."

"I can find out who he is, don't worry. No one crosses me and gets away with it..."

He wandered around the room, looking at the trinkets laying around. He pondered his options thoroughly.

"But my patience doesn't last forever and you don't want me to lose it, trust me..." He warned as some of his bodyguards entered the room in case he picked 'wrong'.

He noticed the entrance of the guards but that didn't phase him. "Joachim. Your man's name is Joachim."

"Ahh that petty conman. I never thought he'd do something this overt."

"Probably has to do with me bumping off his treacherous father and mother. But no matter, you've done me a good service..."

"When you kill him, don't tell him that it was me who sold him out. Say...I got caught and you tortured it out of me." He turned to look at Chezhekov. "Lie to him."

"Why bother? He'd be dead."

"You of all people should understand, I have a reputation to upkeep. It wouldn't do me good if people heard about me selling out my employer. It's just good business.

He chuckled a bit, "very shrewd of you. I have a feeling we'll do some great things together..."

"Just so long as you don't go bossing me around I'm sure we'll get along swell."

"Don't give me any reason to and make sure I'm getting my cut and we won't have an issue..."

"Well then, my business here is done." He gave a curt nod to the guards. "Gentlemen, I'll see myself out."

"But I warn you, I will not tolerate freeloaders. You better to be bringing me profits boy, or I'll take it out of your hide..."
