Gloria's Mansion

Oliver sits cross-legged on the floor. "They can change if something big happens to disrupt your life. I read it in one of the books we have." He pauses. "I'm different now. I can feel it. I know it."

His expression hardens slightly. "My brother betrayed us and killed my mother then my sister ran away, all in the space of one night."

He accepts her hug and returns it hesitantly. It's been a long time since he's been hugged. "I miss my sister," he confesses quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "We were best friends..."

"Before my brother left us me and my sister... We were close. We didn't play in the normal sense. We played chess and games like that, but we enjoyed it. I wish she would come home."

"I think she does though. She's younger than me, but she had a more strategical mind. I think she left because she didn't want to be a part of this anymore..." He closes his eyes. "I do though. I want this."

"My mother wanted the Death Eaters gone. Before she had me or my siblings she gathered people around her in a similar way to You Know Who. I think she might have been trying to create a similar version of the Death Eaters, but with more freedom. I could leave if I wanted, but I wouldn't be able to say anything about them. That's part of the enchantment on the house. If the person who owns it gives us permission THEN we can talk about it outside of the boundaries."

"Everyone who sets foot in the house is. It recognises each individual and remembers them... It's a strange spell. My mother made several that she taught us, and even more that she didn't."

"Yes..." He sounds unsure again. "I did love her, but probably not as much as I should have. She cared for us in the beginning, but before she was killed she trained us more."

"Life is cruel," he says simply.

"In orde to purge the world of the darkness that is the Death Eaters, we sometimes have to be." He doesn't notice that he referred to himself as part of the group.

"We're making the world a better place! Once the Death Eaters are gone we'll step down. We won't rule like they do."
