His laughter finally subsided, but there was a content smile lighting his expression still.

"See? Are we REALLY such bad men? Look at all the happiness we bring?" I muse sarcastically.

He threw an arm around Crouch's shoulder, nodding. 'We're more crooked than a British person's teeth (i can make this joke about my own nationality..), but it's a good thing. Always a good thing.' his expression was approving, analyzing the remainders of what they'd destroyed.

he nodded, smelling the usually sickening combination of acrid smoke and ashes. But to him, it simply seemed delicious.

'of course.' he then gestured to the remains approvingly. 'Im proud of this, in most ways.'

"So am I! I feel like I haven't done anything TRULY on this scale in a while."

'gotta keep your head down though, its easier for me.' he said flatly, shrugging. 'i could just change my appearance.'

"But you see... I'm a man who needs theatrics. You could call me a thespian of terror if you will."

'but you're also a guy who needs to uphold pretences for the moment.' he pointed out in hindsight.

"Let me tell you, I think holding pretenses is going to stay progressively difficult the longer I do it."

'so what, you're giving it up now?' he clarified, curious.

"I'm considering it. Let's just say things are becoming... tricky." I try not to express what I've been fighting for a while.

'how so?' he was genuinely concerned for the hybrid. 'i am your best friend, you can tell me '

"It's odd. I know what I have to do, I have to HATE them. To despise them for what they are..."

'You don't mind their company?' he tried to finish crouch's train of thought, deciding to withhold his true judgement.

"No... I still hate them.... but at the same time, I feel oddly comforted, like they give me something I needed before..."
