Why are we here?

"Ah, now that is a good question." Jim set his teacup down and linked his hands together.

"There are quite a few of us around. People that most might consider villains. I thought it might be a good idea to get everyone together for a little chat."

This will be good. -mutters sarcastically before going over to the person in black and leaning against the wall with them-

Jim decided to ignore the sarcasm. He helped himself to a strawberry from one of the bowls of fruit in the centre of the table.

"Oh come now Mateo, don't be so anti-social old friend!"

Antisocial is my middle name.

Jim just chuckled and dropped the stalk of the strawberry on his teacup's saucer. "You two know each other?"

"You could say that."

Rolls his eyes-

"Interesting."

Very interesting. Jim decided to make a mental map of connections between his guests from now on.

( ohhhh, I'm itching to bend spacetime for the sake of Pitch and bring him. This sounds fun ahahah ))

Checking my watch impatiently, I try to keep things civil despite a burning itch to lash out and destroy something.

"So... nice place you have here." Kind of sorry I might blow it up.

((Go ahead, Cyn, this is gonna go on for a while anyway so everyone can jump in ))

"Mm, thank you." Jim smiled politely at him. "Isn't it just? It's so nice to have a little place of my own to call home."

"Oh yes, delightful." Especially if I can remove some foes if I decide they are a hazard.

"I do hope I'm not late for the party.... Nightmares to hand out, you know.. a man has to keep working.."


Funny how one simple voice can sound so relaxed, suave, but dark.
The Nightmare King was in a pleasant mood, as he materialized in the darkness of a corner, tall and thin form held in an air of command.
"I don't suppose my RSVP got lost..?"

"Indeed, Crouch."

Jim's dark eyes positively gleamed when he heard Pitch's voice. He stood, smoothed his jacket and smiled. "Not at all. I was wondering when you would turn up. I was hoping that you received the invitation."

Looking at this newcomer I can't help but smile at him, "Isn't it a bit early for Halloween?"

Pitch smiled and dipped his head to Jim.
"Oh, I got it. Took a while, but I did..."

Turning toward Crouch, the boogeyman raised a brow, smile dropping.
"Unfortunately so."

An amused expression crossed his features as he returned to his seat. Swirling his cup of tea, Jim commented, "I've heard a fair bit about you, you know. It's a pleasure to meet you."

I sit across from him, the smile not leaving my face.

"Heard of me? Good to hear, most people are blissfully unaware of who I am..."

Pitch smiled.
"I've known of you for a long while. At least, in the slightest... it all comes with you humans and aging, you know."

The taller man refused to take a seat, and merely remained standing in the corner, hands behind his back.
His eyes turned to Crouch.
"Since you most likely do not know me, I am Pitch Black. The Nightmare King, or the Boogeyman. Whichever you prefer..."

A pause, he turned once more toward Moriarty.
"So- why did you ask me here today, Jim? One doesn't invite the bringer of fear for nothing."

He chuckled - well, more giggled, really - and pursed his lips. "I've explained this to Matteo already, but I expect I'll be repeating myself several times anyway.

"There are several of us that people would consider villains. I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to meet up, have a little chat..." He shrugged, head tipping to the side. "Perhaps make alliances, plans... That sort of thing. It could be beneficial."

And we all get to observe our competition, Jim finished silently.

Trust you, Richard muttered.

"Well Mr. Pitch, I'm Crouch Jr, but of course you know that."

Jagged teeth gleamed in a grin, and Pitch gave a small nod.

"Ah.. I see..."


A suave, throaty chuckle. Pitch bounced a bit on the balls of his feet, taking a step forward.
"Well, I'm afraid I don't have much you all could give me... not that you don't completely, but there's not too much..."


At Crouch's comment, the man nodded.
His golden eyes flashed yellow.
"Ah, yes. Crouch Jr.... You have a strong fear for our family, I remember. Your.... marriage family, though. Oh I can see many worries for that child of yours..."
