Karen: "Of course I did. But I knew you'd all be safe... I think. I haven't heard from Honora Castellum in years now."

Phoenix: I wait for her to answer my question.

Karen: "I'm related to them by blood as well, Phoenix. So both you and Hazel are also Strayers. Pixie too if..."

Phoenix: I nod.

-I look at her- Most of the Strayer line is dead. There was a civil war when Arthur and I tied to reform the code. I'm the Head Strayer now...

Karen: "Arthur's... dead?"

Phoenix: I put my head in my hands. This is too much for one day...

-I nod my head solemnly- He died trying to defend Honora Castellum...

Karen: "He was a good person... He deserved someone better than me."

Phoenix: I look up at her, unsure what to say.

-I just look to Phoenix, my sister as of a few minutes ago... she must be taking this worse than me.-

Phoenix: "Why didn't you tell us?" I ask. "I've been here for years - fifteen of them - and you never said."

Karen: "I'm sorry... I never found the right time to say it..."

Phoenix: "... Will you tell Hazel?"

Karen: "When she's older. She's too young now to understand why I did it."

-I look up at Karen- You have a happy life here then?

Karen: "This is going to sound horrible, but I do. It's simple. Not as much is expected of me. I can just be Karen."

Phoenix: I don't know whether to be angry at her or thankful. If she hadn't fallen in love with Dad and left the Strayers I wouldn't exist...

Well then... I'm happy for you... -I say sadly-

Karen: She hesitantly offers Artemis a hug. "I'm sorry about leaving you and your brothers, but I can't bring myself to regret having three beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband. If you'll let me, though, I'll still be a mother to you all..."

Phoenix: I'm still silent, processing her words.

-I walk up close to Karen, and accept her hug- Father would understand.

Karen: She offers her other arm to Phoenix.

Phoenix: I get up and go over to her as well to join the hug.

Karen: "I hope you can both forgive me."

There's nothing to forgive, you loved Mr. Flame.

OOC Wow Arty, you are WAY more forgiving than I am...

OOC: If I were Phoenix I'd still be sat there like, "... What...?"

IC:

Phoenix: "At least you're sorry..."

Karen: "Oh, Birdie, I am. But I love you and Hazel too. I can't just decide to head back to Honora Castellum when I have you lot to look after, and I couldn't take you all with me. That would be too much."

OOC If I were Arty it'd be more like "As far as I'm concerned you're still buried..."

Don't worry about Honora Castellum, me and my brothers have a good thing going with the place. Keep living here, Hazel needs you more

Karen: She nods. "Thank you, both of you. I don't deserve this."

Phoenix: I shrug. "I'm always encouraging people to listen to themselves..." Yeah, and look where that landed you. A kiss from Nine and almost dying. Again.

-I nod to her- You're welcome, I'm just happy your alive... oh and, do you have any messages for Artisan and Crest?

Karen: "Tell them I'm sorry. Please."

Phoenix: I take a small step back out of the hug. "Thanks for being honest."

Karen: "I shouldn't have kept it from you both for this long."

Karen: "It suits you." She nods.

OOC: Thought about goin' all Eragon Ancient Language then but... nah xD
