Honora Castellum

Her lips pulled into a smile. 'Shame you weren't a criminal when i first started out, we would've made ridiculous partners.' Not that she cared much for the criminal underworld anymore, it was just a passing comment. She did care for reclaiming what was naturally hers, though.

'You would've thought wizards created better protection from muggle weapons, but all they consider is spells. It's silly, really. A gunshot will kill anyone, wizard or not, if placed in the right area.'

"Oh trust me, there was a time I may have taken you up on that offer..." He half joked as he walked over to his workbench, "May I see them?"

Her fingers hesitated before they clenched around her blades, setting the metal on the table before she could regret relinquishing them. 'I feel like a child without them, they're like my safety net.'

"Well don't worry, I don't need them for very long..."

"Let me see your hand please..."

'My... hands?' She reluctantly outstretched her palm.

He pointed his wand at the center of her palm and then moved his wand toward her knifes. As he did this, a thin blue glowing line traced itself from her palm in the direction of the wand. Finally, he connected it to the handle of her blades.

"There we are... that ought to to do it. It's a spell I invented, 'Magical threads.' Think of them kind of like puppet strings that are eternally attached to you. However they only work when you will it so as to prevent any mishaps..."

I want my knives b-

Before she'd even finished the thought the strings became taught, the knives snapping back into her hands with relative ease.

'Shit, that was fast. I feel like Spiderman, only with blades.'

'So it's not just these knives? I have other, nicer sets.' She thought of her collection with a faint smile. 'These aren't glued to me?'

"Nope, you can pick them up and put them down as you wish. Think of it more like Thor's hammer and by god it feels nice to talk to someone who gets that for once..." He laughed heartedly. 

"I'd have to attach another set of strings but yes it can be done..."

She grinned at him. 'Of course i do, i read all of the comics when i was a kid, me and Syd stole 'em.'  

She relaxed her grip on the blades, looking at him almost sheepishly. 'I have a lot of knives y'know, got some real old ones that i've used for years. it would take a while to gather them, let alone enchant them.'

"Oh man you've got to see my collection of comics some time! I really could spend days working on all the ideas I get from Iron Man!" It had been far too long since Artisan had had a nerd talk with anyone. Everyone here quite literally lived under a rock.

"I could come with you. I can do this procedure anywhere and it would save a lot of time... also..." He looked over his shoulder to make sure no one else was listening. "I've been stir crazy for a week now! I need to get out and away from these stuffy folks!"

'You want me to show you the batcave?' She teased, sheathing her knives and watching as the ties slowly thinned out of existence. 'I don't know... only two people know where it is, and what it is, and that's only because one of them can pretty much stalk me when they please.'

'But yeah, my sibligns are clueless to muggle stuff sometimes, which is ironic, considering two of them are from muggle parents.'

"Oh come on! I can keep secrets! For example, one time I caught Crest trying to sing! He swore me to secrecy and I haven't told a soul yet!" 

"Until just now anyway..."

'And what happens if somehow, sometime in the future i'm under arrest by aurors? You'd know exactly where my secret lair is. Who really has the motormouth out of us?' She stuck out her lip in a pout.

"Well you're operating under the assumption you'd get caught. Seems to me most aurors are dumber than a second coat of paint..."

"Yeah, but you and your brothers ain't... don't they try to send out people who know the person well enough to fight them?" it seemed logical.

"Yeah, that's kinda the typical MO..."

'Which means if I ever commit a crime..' She pointed at him. 'You are the one who's gonna be hunting me down. You can't know about the batcave, i don't trust myself to be a law abiding citizen.'

"You know, I'm a slightly forgetful guy...' He suggested, "Maybe you do show me, but maybe I forget where it is. Who's to say one way or another..."

'I get cha. So am i sometimes, don't worry.' She offered a wink, before sheathing her knives into her pockets. 'I guess i could show ya my secret lair, which ain't so great, by the way.' It was a hovel compared to the grandiose of Honora Castellum

Physical therapy was a hard thing, especially if one insisted on doing it alone like Crest had.

His injuries at Crouch's hands were severe but they had finally healed to the point where physical activity was possible again. He decided to start with walking again. Using his hands as support on two parallel beams he forced his legs to move forward shakily. His sheer willpower forbade him from falling down, despite the notable strain on him.

Pisces was mildly concerned. Rarely did she ever get summoned by Crest unless it was a dire emergency. She strolled into Honora, recognized as an ally. When she detected where Crest was she strode over to him and found his state immediately concerning. Her eyes were wide with shock
"Crest what happened? You, are you alright?"
She knew had had made it through worse, but Crest was a dear friend and a valuable ally. Any hurt at all was worth her full concern.

"Doing fine..." He told her even though his arms were shaking like they were about to give out. "Don't worry about that..."

Pisces face only grew more worried
"Crest, you don't have to lie" she could see his arms shake like twigs about to snap.
"At least tell me what happened."

"Crouch... he got mad and vented his frustrations on me. I'm lucky to be alive... but I am and that's what matters..."
