Hogsmead Village

Lucy knowkced on his door, self conciously running her hands down her dress.

Sawyer opened the door after a few minutes, the shiner slightly healed but not quite perfectly. It was still very obvious, almost as much as the combed hair and white dress shirt, "hey!"

Her eyes go straight to his face as she frowns.  'What did you do? '

"oh this?" He points to his shiner, "Nothing," He dismissed casually, as if it were no more an annoyance than a mosquito bite.

"Hazard of duelling..."

'Dont duel then.'

Sawyer burst out into a hearty chuckle, "tell me not to breathe while you're at it! I love duelling! Sure I get a bit bumped up and such but hey, it's the price one pays for a good fight!"

'A but bumped up? What if ypu got seriously hurt?'

"Ahh you're cute when you're concerned..." He smirked at her, "Don't worry, I'm a tough guy..."

'Who said I was concerned? '

"You told me not to duel..."

she smiles. 'its not you im worried about. just your face.'

"Hey, you think this is bad, you ought to see how roughed up the other guy was. Punches aren't allowed in duels you know..." He smirked at her, flaunting his pride like a medal of honor.

'You shpuldnt be proud of dueling! Are you in pain?'

"No that went away a while ago. Also why shouldn't I be proud? I'm good at it! Could probably go pro if I had the right amount of dough."

She frowns, clearly not happy about it

"What?"

'Nothing...'

"Ah don't give me that, it's clearly something..."

She places she hands on his chest and pushes him back, as she walked into the room. 'Im not standijg in to doorway talking about this. Its just....you shouldnt fight'

"You don't get why I fight though..."

'Why'

"Well see... I come from a very high achieving family. Most of them work in the Department of Mysteries and are pretty well known for their accomplishments."

"Nice folks, don't get me wrong, couldn't say an unkind thing about them. But me? I don't exactly got a lot going on up here..." He pointed to his head, "I ain't like the brain boxes they are."

"Figure if I become a famous duelist, that's at least something I'm good at. Like pro-good... that's worth some respect, right?"

'You shouldn't do something just to show your family you are worth something.  You already are worth somwthing.'

"Appreciate it, but it's just... something I got to do you know..."

'And for the record, Sawyer, you may not think it and your family might not, but I think your smart.'
