ic 'Toppppphhheeeerrr!' Amaya called out to him in a sing song voice, grinning. 'Where've you been hidin?' She had a skip in her step, feeling rather cheerful for once.

"hey there May, and I wouldn't say hidin' really? Just kind of been quiet around here..."  He offered his arms for a friendly embrace.

She gladly accepted it, sniggering to herself. 'If you'd been anyone else i would've attacked you.'  She quickly ran ehr fingers through her curly hair. 'And quiet? really? everyone's getting into fights and stuff.'

"Well, I meant until today..." He corrected with a grim frown on his face. He knew what was going on and knew it was no joking matter so he didn't downplay it.

His head was filled with the events of this past...week? Few days? He didn't even know how much time had passed since his world turned on end. He looked up at the castle in the distance as he pondered what was to become of him now. He pulled the hood of his cloak closer to his face.

"Man have you guys seen better days.." Joachim walked out of the room he had been staying in to talk with his partner. Death owed him a debt still and he fully intended to amke use of it...

"No truer words have been spoken." He peered at the man. "What do you want?"

"Right to the point, love that kind of attitude..." 

"Anywho, I got a problem, and you're absolutely the man who can solve it."

"Cashing in your favour?" He sighed and looked back up at the castle. "What is it then?"

"Well ya see..."

He kept his voice hushed as he whispered the favor after doing a quick check to see if anyone's around, "There's this guy named Chezhekov. Russian, old guy... and he really needs to..." He made finger quotes, "Go away..."

"Do you want subtle or quick?"

He couldn't help but mentally roll his eyes. Here he was talking about an assassination as if it were the weather. Of course, killing had become a regular pass-time of his recently. God, how the wheels really have turned.

"I just want certain people in the underground to know it was me behind it. Guy's a crook you see..."

No need to tell Death that he was one of biggest wizard crime lords. He was just the patsy, he didn't need to be privy to that. Besides, if he lost Death, he didn't really lose anything. 

'If Chezzy croaks, I get his empire. if Death croaks, that oughta put me in good graces with his enemies. Either way for me I win...'

"You want people to know you hired a hitman? Usually when someone hires a hitman they don't want others to know."

"Thing is deathy boy, he's got some associates and resources I want and if people know I'm behind it then I get them, see?"

"Oh. Okay. Have you got any leads for me. Maybe where I should start my search?"

"Yeah here's the address..." He handed him a slip of paper with the address to Chezhekov's hideout. 

"See? Easy..." He smiled at him like a car salesman trying to ensure a customer of a faulty product's worth.

"Mhm." He took the paper and then crossed his arms. "What aren't you telling me?"

"Wha... Deathy, my main man!" He put his hand on his shoulder, "Have I lead you astray even once?"

He looked at Joachim as if to tell him off for calling him stupid. "You're a trickster who's only looking out for himself. I know your kind better than you'd think. How powerful is this man you want me to 'get rid of'?"

"Eh I don't, kinda powerful. Nothing someone like you wouldn't be able to handle..." 

"But you're focussing on the journey and not the destination. If this goes well, you'll have yourself a powerful ally with me. And you of all people know how desperately you need friends now..."

He glared at Joachim. "Just because the Dark Lord is no longer here doesn't mean that I don't have friends in high places."

Joachim chuckled a little, "You really think those will last long? With you guys on the run, they'll drop your asses faster than exercise routine after New Years..."

"You may have a point, but we don't plan on staying on the run for long." He thought for a second. "Still, your statement is true. It would be good to have more allies."

"Well then... we got us a deal?" He extended his hand.
