The next phase of the plan is now ready to commence. With River adequately distracted and the other half of the stone soon to be his, now was a perfect opportunity to find out exactly how the stone would be used. 

Once he did that, not only would he be able to vanquish any threats against him but he'd be able to weaponize a whole new threat... one he would engineer, manipulate, and use to reshape everything.

I aperate into the village, still seething about Jack. Yes...i knew he was right in one sense, but he didnt understand. All i want...I just wanted crouch back t how he was. I mmissed him, and i didnt know what i was meant to do without him.
or death, for that matter.
But i shook my head, trying to get the thought away. I didnt have time to feel sad- i had a stone to deliver.

The door was already busted in, like a rhino had charged into it. The sobs of frightened children crept out the door, as though the sounds themselves were terrified of being heard yet were desperate to be heard.

OOC They can't be seen yet! Just letting you guys know that they're lurking!  

IC Jack had followed River here, still keeping an eye out for Raven.  River's very lucky that Jack hates Crouch more than her.  Yes, he may see himself and Sally in her, but she's not as smart, and that's what's making his blood boil.  

Raven curses at Jack being here.  This just made her job hard.  If only it could have stayed easy...

'No.' I  whisper, hearing the children. 'Please...no.' I dont care about being seen or heard, but i start running towards he house, my wand out, the only thought to stop whatever those children where terrifed off.

The children were huddled in a corner in fear that seemed to add weight to the very air.

'Kids...' I say quietly, crouching down in front of them both. 'I know your scared right now..BUt i want to help. are either of you hurt? Do you know wht happened?' I hold my hands out to them both. 'Come with me, tell me while we walk, ok?'

The boy sniffled and didn't dare let go of his sister as he lead the pair out, "There was a guy... he came in, said he was a friend of dads."

"He took him into his office and... made him yell really loud! But he didn't hurt us, said it would be impolite..." Both children tensed up as he recounted the story, as though just retelling the story would bring the demonic man back to them.

'can you tell me what his name was? or what he looked like?'

"He had..  brown hair, brown eyes... and this very wide smile, like he just got back from a carnival or something..."

I nod. 'Ok.' We were outside by this point, a few houses down from their own. 'Do you know anyone around here? that you cn go and stay with for a few hours? you need to trust them, because i have to go in there and help your daddy.'

"Yeah we have friends here..." The girl pointed to a house across the street.

I nod and walk them over, knocking on the door.

The door slowly opened with a gentle voice asking, "Who is it?"

I wince. 'Umm....ive got two of the kinds from down the road? i was wondering if you could...look ater them?'
