The Black Lake

Eagle was surprised, but not angrily so. He simply absorbed this information, turning it over in his head thoughtfully. "What does she want, if you don't mind me asking?"

'Protection. From us, specifically.' She stated in a factual tone, sighing to herself. 'I don't know how much more I should explain. I mean I want to because I trust you completely, but i don't want to break hers.'

Sam can hear everything going on, about to have an anxiety attack.  She wants to help fight, but her confidence has never been very high...

At last, no more cloak and dagger tricks. At last, no sneaking around. At last blood supremacy was going to win out.

Proudly wearing his death eater robes, Sylvester looked for the one person he knew he had to squash personally. Samantha Nuel.

Sam can see Sylvester, her eyes widening.  She's fought him a number of times before, but that doesn't calm her fears.  She gulps, readying herself.

"There you are you miserable peasant..." He glared at her as he drew his wand, "This has been long overdue for the indignations you've forced onto me!"

Sam gets her wand out, but knows she's not as skilled with magic as Sylvester is.  She never really made a good wizard.  She's just sad, pathetic Sam.  She takes a deep breath.  Just remember everything that Crest and dad have taught you... "What have I done to you to make you hate me so much?"

"You exist. And because of you, my reputation as a Death Eater has gotten dragged through the mud. Well not any more. After I kill you my status will never be questioned again! CRUCIO!!!"

Sam, having not been in a fight for a while, gets hit, screaming.  But she finds the strength within her to throw a rock at his head with her mind.

"How pathe-" He gripped the back of his head as he felt a rock connect. He looked at his hand to see a nasty gash left in him, his hand holding some of his own blood. "Why you..."

Sam's confidence rises, but not by much.  She bites her lip, throwing more at him to keep him distracted while she struggles to think.

Sylvester turned around him, trying his best to shield himself from the onslaught of stones. 

'To be put on the defensive by a meek rodent like her...' 

What do I do?  What do I do?!  I wish Crest was here to help...  She points her wand at Sylvester, "Stupefy!"

His face became a panicked mask as he looked between the rocks and the spell coming at him from both sides. If he dodged the rocks, he left himself open to the spell. If he dodged the spell, he'd be open to the rocks.

A lose-lose situation. 

He at least could recover from the rocks. He turned his back to the stones, 'PROTEGO!!" A shield protected him from the spell, but the stone bombarded his back, cutting his clothes and skin and left a healthy amount of bruises.

"You miserable rodent. Soon you and your husband will pay for this! Avada Kedavra!"

Sam screams, dodging.  Panicking, she takes a large, heavy branch with her mind and aims to swing it at Sylvester's head to at least knock him unconscious.  (Rocks have stopped.)

How could one so weak and fragile have this much raw power?!


He quickly slashed his wand through the air to try and cut the branch in half, succeeding at the last second.

Sam bites her lip, shaking, trying to clear her mind so she can think.

He had to throw her off kilter, but how?!

Oh I know!


"At least you put up more of a challenge than Sarah did."

Sam's eyes widen when she hears his words.  She looks at him, her eyes watering.  "What?"

"Oh you heard me, I took her out minutes before finding out!"

"She... She's dead?  You killed her?!"

"You bet I did... and I don't mind telling you it felt great." He lied through his teeth knowing as soon as she broke, he was hers.

Sam looks at the ground, and it starts to shake.  She feels a mix of deep depression and a little anger... The anger starting to rise.  Her emotions are now getting out of control, which is dangerous for anyone around her.  "No...  She's stronger than you!  She can't be dead!"

IC Sam moves a big, random object in front of her, dodging the curse.  She looks angrily at Sylvester, looking threatening for once in her life.  "NO!!" Nearby trees even start to fall, and the lake starts looking more like an ocean as its waves grow bigger and bigger.
