He stood and turned to leave the room.

'fine.' I slide back down the bed and curl up.

He left the room and shut the door behind him. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. Everything Crouch and he had sacrificed was for naught. She wouldn't accept it. He was going to lose her and anything he tried to do to save her was futile.

All because he was a Death Eater. She wouldn't live because she couldn't bear the thought of living with someone like him. A killer. This was all his fault.

He slid down the wall and pulled his knees up to his chest. He rested his head on his knees and fought off another round of fresh tears.

OOC -Crouch slides in awkwardly- Can I have that back then?

Rosie watched from another room, her heart- so pure, even for a healer- breaking for the death eater and the girl dying in the room behind him.
Sighing, she walked over and sat next to him. 'Dont give up on her. Surely you have to understnd why she cannot bare it at the moment?'

"Just go away," he mumbled. "Unless you can get her to take it, don't talk to me."

'Come on, stand up. Your going back in there, and you are going to be there when she takes it and gets better.' she stands and holds out her hand.

He rose to his feet and looked her in the eyes. "Who was he?"

'he was the one person i had in this world.' She says it quietly. 'So now i know what it is like to love someone so much it hurts....and then how much the pain gets worse when you know you will never see them again.'

"I am sorry."

'Sorry doesnt change anything.' She repies, walking into rivers room before he could answer

God he had fucked everything up within a matter of days. He followed her into the room but stayed near the door.

'Riv...listen to him.' Rosie pleads with her, sitting on the edge of the bed. 'Please. You have a second chance....and he loves you. dont let that go to waste.'

IC He just watched as the Healer tried her hand at making River drink the magical drink. He feared River's answer. She hated him now so there was no reason for her to take the potion and live.

'whats the point?' it was barely above a whisper but rosie heard it.
 she sighed. 'because if you dont..erik would have died for nothing.'

'Are you fucking serious? She's gonna fall for what you were doing only with the dead guy's name and not her brothers. Dude, that's fucked up. You married a weird chica.' Ahriman said, showing up for the first time since this whole ordeal started.

'Where have you been?'

'Oh, y'know, hanging around. You seemed stressed enough I didn't wanna push your buttons.'

there was silence from river, and rosie looked up at deatg a small smile on her face. 'come and talk to her. she will listen.'

He took a step forward and paused before speaking. "River, I am sorry for all that I've put you through."

I sniff, before reaching out my hand to him. 'Not all you.'

"I know I'm a murderer. I know I'm not the best idea of a husband, but I do love you. Even if you don't remember."

I nod, glancing up at him. 'You....you scare me.'

He hung his head and nodded. "I'm sorry."

'but eerything scares me. becasue i dont know anything....i cant remember anything so of course im scared. And...i look at you and think.....maybeim scared beccasue i know you, deep down....and i just cant remember it maybe im scared because you have everything i own, my heart, everything....but i just cant remember you'

He was torn in two by her words. She still knew that she loved him. She hated him at the same time. "River, you mean enough to me that I got married to you. That's the greatest promise I could ever make. You may not remember, but I don't take lightly to those who break their promises. Myself included."

I take a breath, before standing up, unbalanced and taking a smal step towards him. 'Im hurting you. im sorry'
