Hospital Wing

"Only if she wants to." 

Sarah looks back, immediately tensing up.  She takes a deep breath, not wanting to admit that she was scared.

"Would it not be worth it to at least conquer the greatest paradigm that plagues man's minds?" Eugene asked with a hint of desperation in his voice.

"But... if he were to enter here, he'd have a hard time as I have a few aurors hidden in plain sight to keep the family of my family safe..." He added as a bluff so the stalker would hear it and be threatened off.

"Not to mention my father is in here..."  Sarah smirks.

"Just be patient, Eugene.  You'll heal up soon."

"Yeah he'd have no chance..." Artemis gave her a nod as he saw the shoe leaving his line of sight.

"Ohh... very well..."

"Thank you, Artemis.  I really do appreciate it."

"No problem..."

Jack walks up to the Hospital Wing so he can tell Sally and Eugene of his banishment from here.  

Sally sees his depressed and downtrodden face.  "Jack, what's wrong?"

Jack looks down, "I've been banned from the property..."

Eugene's anguished body didn't seem relevant to him anymore as he sprung form his bed at the news, "That's completely asinine! What happened?!"

Despite Jack's resistance, tears begin to form in his eyes, "I violently reacted to a man that is stalking Sarah, claiming to be her father..." 

Sally hugs Jack comfortingly and lovingly.  "Oh, Jack..."

"So... if I hear you correctly, they are banning you... for being a good parent..." Eugene's face subtly twitched to this travesty of justice.

"Dumbledore claims that I was disturbing the peace... That it's unsafe to have me around..."

"That.. that.. fossil! That decrepit old fossil! How blind is he I ask you!" He yelled out, visibly livid with the thought of not seeing his idol anymore.

"Trust me, Eugene, I don't want to go..."

"I don't want you to go, Jack! Please don't! I implore you!" He begged as the mind numbing pain coursing through his entire anatomy was ignored.

"What else can I do?  If I don't leave by tonight, I'll probably get removed forcibly or even get arrested!"

Eugene knew that couldn't be argued with, he was no fighter and he doubted he'd gather enough support to stop this...

"Then, I leave with you."

"No, Eugene, you need your education..."

"I could learn more from you then I could ever learn from these archaic traditionalist!"

"I need a scientist, not a teacher!" He begged of his father figure.

Jack smiles, touched.  "Heal up first..."

Without a word the young singed boy hugged Jack, "I promise you I'll do all I can to get you back in... and I'll look after Sarah..."

"Thank you, Eugene... That means a lot to me."  Jack hugs back, so touched.

He pulled back, "I won't keep you..."

His eyes grew a little disdainful, "Wouldn't want them to get worried..."

After Eugene is done, Sally hugs Jack, "I'll come every day, Jack... Just try and stay at our house."

By this point, Eugene's sorrow had ebbed enough for pain to be recognized as he forced himself to lay in bed.

But even so... his fury over this injustice would not go unheard.

Jack gives a final nod to them both and walks out.

Sally sighs, feeling sorrow herself.  "Don't worry, Eugene.  I'll get you healed the fastest I can..."
