"Damn, that really does sound like New Jersey..." He muttered.

He chuckles, "I've never even been to Nee Jersey."

"Good." He laughed.

"Hey you play quiditch at all?"

He shakes his head. "No, I play a muggle sport."

"Oh okay, what sport's that?"

"Basketball." He smiles.

"Good taste man! It's been a while since I've played! Know any good courts nearby?"

"I know there's none in Hogwarts, unless we use the Room of Requirement."

"Good idea! I'll play ya if ya got time!"

"Awesome!" He beams.

"Sweet! Just a warning, I'm a bit rusty so you'll probably kick my ass."

"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you!" He laughs.

"Oh you're on!" He stood up and started running to the room.

Kyle follows.

The echo of the hall doors slamming against the walls alerted everyone to her entrance.

In one hand she span a long knife, twirling it expertly between her fingers. With the other she combed her fingers through her now blueberry coloured hair - she'd gotten tired of looking like her sister.

'Bitches, i'm back!' she shouted, sending her knife sailing into chains holding up the chandelier. It took only moments for the expensive hunk of metal to fly to the ground, narrowly missing the capture of a first year.

Sauntering down the aisles between tables, she danced in circles, gripping various heads as she walked past with her nimble hands. Soon, many students found themselves with either faces in their food, appalled, shocked or crying. Her laughter was manic, reaching squeaky tones as her lungs ached for air.

Well, this is what happened in Amaya's mind anyway.

In reality, the girl parked herself on the end of the Slytherin table with her head in her hands.

'Why am i even here.'

Pixie dropped into the seat next to her, staff falling onto the table with a clack as she sighed in relief. "You know, sometimes I ask myself the same question," she admitted with a wry smile. "How've you been keepin'?"

'Meh.' she admitted, scratching her forearm with no consideration to the food in front of her. 'Somehow i ended up back here, i don't know whether it's a good or bad thing.' Amaya snorted, shaking her head slightly.

"Good thing, probably, in the long wrong," Pixie said, picking at one of the patterned lines in her staff. "Dunno if I'm the only one who noticed this, but it's like everything always circles back to here."

'And once again i'm gonna throw myself into the middle of it...' she muttered, pressing her fingers to her forehead.

'How about you? See you haven't died yet.' she pointed out the obvious.

She snorted, then grinned. "Yeah, not yet. Me and Nix have been out for a while, too. We've been, uh, doing a bit of behind the scenes trainin', I guess you could call it."

'What for, world war three?' her lips curled in confusion, shrugging. 'Everyone's quiet round here now..'

"Don't ask me, it was Nix who suggested it." She shrugged, keeping the exact details to herself; it wasn't training, per se.

'A'ight then.' She wasn't going to push the girl, instead choosing to stare around the hall. 'Funny, i expected some raving lunatic to have burst through the door already and tried to kill one of us. Some things really have changed around here..' she muttered half-heartedly.
