All the Strayers had come back to the school. It was the first time they had been back since the battle, and they needed to be sure no surprises from their now-hidden foes were left behind. 

Artemis wished his father was alive to see this day, but he was content with having seen it himself.

"Thank you."
They were words spoken by a soft tongue, tender with kindness as she turned toward her escort and friend. The  Auror only nodded, offered her a bag that was undoubtedly hers, and then was given a kind farewell embrace (which was all given by the young woman.)


And as he turned to leave, greatly matured eyes locked to a figure, familiar as when she'd last seen him.

      "Artemis!"

Her voice is a song, bright like that of a brd's as she lights up with a grin brighter than the sun, body skipping to him and arms held out for a friendly hug.
She can only imagine how proud he must be with the Dark Lord defeated.


 { I'll be fully online here in a minute; I need to rinse off after working in the sun all day, and then I might go get lunch but idunno I'll lurk on mobile till then. :> }

Artemis saw Cynder and hugged her friendly, "Cynder! It's been far too long! How have you been?" 

It was reassuring to see his old friend return after such daunting trials that laid both behind and in front of them. "You picked a great time to come back..."

There was little that had changed about the Shapeshifter's countenance. She remained roughly the same height and build, though it appeared her already frail form had lost more weight.
The major difference, however, was her eyes.
Still within them were the seeds of kindness and forgiving, justice and truth. But in the time she had left, something grown seemed to have overwhelmed her, Aged her in wisdom and understanding.
Yet in her eyes was the coldness, a preparedness, to kill if she needed to. The dark lord might've been gone, but she'd seen things. Done things.
And now she could not help but be ready to murder if it was to protect.
The death eaters will existed, after all.


Oh, but her friend! His hug was welcomed ,contact she had not felt in a long while that left her flesh prickling with joy.
Her bright eyes twinkled, awed at how different and yet the same everything was now.

"--- Did I?". She's still grinning, friendly and sociable.
"-- I would think any time without the dark Lord is a good one~!"

"Believe me there is relief the world over..." Artemis smiled proudly as though conquering a daunting obstacle. One that had plagued him for so many years. This day was a culmination of everything he thought would be fantasy.

A life without death eaters didn't even seem real. It felt as though he and the rest of the world had transcended to a new realm of existence which was nirvana next to what they knew.

"But how have you been? What have you been up to all this time?"

Garret propped himself against the cold stone with a look of concentration that caused his brow to furrow and his crimson eyes to look sharp. Months of planning and still the perfect opportunity for revenge had yet to present itself. All the plannin in the world wouldn't actually bring him closer to his goals, he knew it was time for action, but the moment had to precise.. He sighed in angry frustration as a flick of his wand blew a hole straight through the wall opposite of him.

Be it nostalgia or just sheer boredom, Artisan found himself drawn to this place he had once spent so much time. 

Even odder than his attraction back to the school was the fact that things were... peaceful. All the power plays and machinations of the death eaters that once marked his time there was nowhere to be seen. The students were talking about the spell they just learned, or how much studying they did the night before and other things like that. 

It was almost more unsettling than the latest plot by Death or Crouch or whoever.

That is until he heard the blast in the wall. Well peace never lasted long around here.

"So, you and the wall having an argument there?"

His wand spun between spindly fingers as he looked Artisan over for a momemt as though sizing him up with a devious grin as he decided this could be amusing ." It disagreed with my decorative suggestions... so I figured I'd remove the problem. I.could always take my creative differences out on a more practical participant. That is if you're volunteering" his sneer was confident and cocky as he pushed off the wall to step closer.

Artisan chuckled heartily, "Well, that is the most long winded and creative way of saying, 'Wanna scrap'? I've ever heard."

"Yeah tell you what. Wait until I'm in a wheelchair. Maybe you'll have a shot then..."

His knuckles cracked as they tightened around the red hued wand. A mixture of excitement, annoyance  and malice flashing through his gaze "I guess eloquence is a dying art here at Hogwarts... though I'd happily arrange you needing that wheelchair now." And with no further delay a beam of scarlet light shot towards Artisan.

Artisan dropped down, as the light shot over him, "Alright buddy, you ordered the ass whooping. Would you like your dignity with that?" He got up and got his bag open, finding what looked like a simple golden feather.

He gave a twisted smile at the taunt and then chuckled when he saw the feather "what are you going to do? Tickle me to death?" Although he slightly curious as to what the feather did he kept his guard up and senses sharp. His wand hand twitched with anticipation.

"Well, I COULD do that, but I think I'll settle for this..." He starts to wave the feather around above his head and wind started to cycle around it. Once it was large enough, he pointed the feather at him and the wind torrented at Garret.

Glad he had been on the deffensive now, Garret brought his wand to his lips blowing across the wood causing flames bust forth like a white hot sword. Hoping even as he dashed for a better vantage point that if the golden feather was harmed the wind would cease to be any sort of threat to him.

"All the elegant talk for just some flames?" He swiped the feather horizontally and blew the flames away from him. "Buddy at this rate, my laundry gives me a harder time than you..."

"I'll admit my curiosity threw me off a tad bit.." he chuckled lightly "please tell me you have something better than a feather that produces high.winds." he gave a mocking yawn as though bored. The long shadows of the hall beginning to creep towards his opponet like snakes stalking their prey, silent and ready to strike at Garret's will. The large gold ring on his right hand glowed soft with a deep red color as it maniplutaed them with precision.

Artisan looked at the snakes, "Well, that's an improvement..." He muttered to himself. He started to dig into his bag once again, trying to find that magnifying glass he had. 

"God where is it?" He dug even deeper into the bag, trying to pull it out quickly.

The shadows were beginning to slide over his shoes and wrap around his ankles. Their dark bodies sizzling like acid as they slowly contorted and squezzed during their ascension "relying on trinkets is slowing you down.. or is that all the magical ability you possess?"

"Bite your tongue! Do you have any idea who you're talking to?!" He shouted at him indignantly.

At last he pulled out the magnifying glass he was looking for and held it close to the nearest window. As sunlight reflected into it, the magical glass amplified the light to a solid white beam of light which Artisan aimed at the snakes.

"I'm the Great Artisan Strayer, no one beats me!"

His laugh echoed in a sort of haunting way "you know.. I usually take the time to get to know peoples names before I eradicate them... I guess learning yours seemed like a waste of time." The snakes split as the light cut through them, but it simply just caused them to reform in greater numbers as a hydra would.

"Oh you've asked for it buddy!" His arrogance had taken over his thoughts as he shined the light toward Garret now to blind him as his other hand went for the next device he'd need.

Ic the inky snakes halted as.Garret's concentration was broken momentarily by the binding light. He raised his arm to shield his face throwing a haphazard stunning spell as he tried to.quickly blink away the stark whiteness plaguing his vision "hit a sore spot did I, mate? Have something to prove by your name I take it? Maybe standards you could never live up to... " he was stalling for time to recover his sight now.

Artisan looked upon him as he looked upon all of those teachers and students at Honora who looked down on him because he didn't measure up to them in the conventional ways. Maybe his close combat was lacking, maybe his spells weren't the best, but anyone would be hard pressed to find a better enchanter and inventor. "Or maybe I'm just that amazing!" He slipped on a pair of gloves that had three small gems on it. One was red and seemed to glow like a forest fire, the next was blue and emitted the tranquility of a babbling brook, the last was yellow and crackled with energy like a thunderstorm. 

With the gloves on, he ran at Garret head first and raised his fist to him, "Fire, Water, Lighting, I summon you!" Artisan had waited a long time to test this out. Each gem glowed and then floated out of the glove. Each one shined brightly as they started to form what looked to be people made out of crystals with the respective coloring and power of their original stones.
