IC He sought the smirk that wanted to make itself known. "I see."

"Do you share these sentiments?"

He hesitated in answering, choosing his words with care.

"I see Crouch as a brother of mine. We are close, I do respect him and...most of his decisions. However, I do see a reason to not like him above other Death Eaters."

"Surely you've seen he'll led us to ruin!"

"His mind is not in the right place at the moment. He does have great potential to become a great leader of the DE. I think he needs a little reminder of how it should be. And maybe someone to harvest the fruits of the Dark Lord's labors."

"Who do you think that someone should be?"

He shrugged. "I'm not sure."

"Splendid...." He groaned, "Only one vision and it's in the hands on a barbarian..."

"Do you think I'd be a better lead than him?" he asked curiously.

"Yes I believe so..."

He nodded, letting his words sink in. It wasn't the first time that someone had suggested he take lead of the DE. He just...didn't think he was good enough. Worthy of the position. "I see. You aren't the first to say as much to me."

"Well if you did take the reigns, know that I'd be behind you a hundred percent..." Just then an ambitious idea sprung to mind. He was one of the dark lord's favorites, one of the strongest left...

"Also if I may be so bold, I was wondering if I could have a tenure under you..." His tone was respectful and dutiful, like a commander who respected the chain of command. "If necessary I can provide my credentials..."

OOC The things this guy will do to Death's ego. I like him. I like him a lot.

IC He was taken aback by the man's generous offer. "I um... I'm flattered that you'd like to be my...whatever you said." He blinked a few times and shook his head to try and clear it. "Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm not even sure what you would want from me."

"Well from what I understand, you were one of the Dark Lord's elite. I regrettably never rose to such an impressive stature. I would be truly honored to be an apprentice to you."

He thought long and hard about this man's words. He could train this man to be what the Death Eaters needed. Maybe even one day he would grow to be a great Death Eater.

Nodding his head, he spoke. "Okay. I'll take you as my apprentice."

"You shall not be disappointed sir.." He bowed his head to him and then rose it. Hope swelled in Sylvester's chest. The two of them might be able to reshape things to how they were meant to be.

'I certainly hope not...' he thought to himself.

"Okay, the first thing I'd like to do is assess your abilities so I know what I need to train you on, what you're good at, and what we need to perfect. Also, I won't just be teaching you magic, but strategy, how to do things in the most efficient way. There's a lot more to bring a Death Eater than just wrecking havoc and serving the Dark Lord."

He gave a slight pause to let it all sink in.
