A friend..?
Cynder looked amazed, for a moment.
Crest considered her a... friend...?

"... you two are really guilting me, you know that, right?"

Topher: "then we've done our job..." I smirk at her light heartedly.

Crest: I turn away from them, but not without a word, "I'll find him. Defeat him."

Topher: "Hey now Iceman, you don't have to do this lone gunslinger act."

"Yes, Crest. Think better than that, please. This was my plan... if anyone is going to solve this problem, it's me."

"The more time that is wasted, the more fear gets spread."

"Then let's get to it."

Cynder's voice was firm, and a gentle emphasis on the fact that she had said 'let's'.

"Perhaps the Forbidden Forest is the best place to go. There are a lot of shadows there-?"

I nod my head, noting her words but drawing no attention to them, "Logical."

"Then let's get going-! The sooner the better..!"

Cynder nodded firmly to Crest and moved toward the exit of the Owlry.
"Don't let a limping girl beat you there, guys- come on!"

Crest brushes off his confusion over Cynder's playfulness and follows her and the ex-thief.

Why would Arty be in Azkaban? Would his trial pan out, and would I have to break him out?

An owl landed on a perch near Artisan, an envelope clasped in its beak. It blinked at him, entirely patient. The letter itself was almost curt in the way it was worded, but in a way that somehow still managed to be polite.

Mr. Strayer,
I have heard of your prowess with technology, and admire it. So I hope you will consider my request, because I think you're the best person I can offer this to.
My family has magical blood, but it is weak, and always has been. This has never been more apparent than in my son. However, he shows promise in engineering, and I know you are the best man to teach him. Would you perhaps consider becoming his mentor, and possibly help him with the little magic he can manage along the way? It would be a weight off of my mind.

P.S. He carries with him a piece of my technology which could probably do with some improving. If you take up my offer, I have no doubt he will explain it to you if you ask.

Signing in my typical fancy cursive, I send it off to him.

The reply was quick. Howard Stark was eager to hand over his son.

Mr. Strayer,
Thank you very much. Tony is on his way now. If you send him a letter with your location, he'll find his way to you, or you can do it the other way around if you wish. He will be at Hogwarts within a few minutes.

I write to Tony quickly,

"Hey Tony,

I'm up in the Owlery, come on over!"

Tony was under the impression that he was perfectly capable of looking after himself - which he was, he was in his late teens, but his father obviously didn't think so. He'd just handed over a rucksack with the things Tony would need and sent him off.

He even looked like the opposite of his father. No slicked back hair and suits here; ruffled hair, comfortable t-shirts and jeans were what Tony dressed in. The light blue glow of the arc reactor showed through his shirt easily.

He let himself into the tower, a flicker of curiosity passing over his features. When he caught sight of Artisan, he offered him a nod. "Artisan, right?"

Yep, I'll totally get along with this guy.

"Heya!"

The expression wavered somewhere between confusion and amusement now, so he settled on a bemused look. "Hey." Tony let himself into the Owlery fully, glancing around.

"Tony right?"

"Yep." Tony shifted his rucksack on his shoulder to free up a hand to offer Artisan. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, Artisan seemed like a decent enough guy.

"Name's Artisan Strayer but you probably already know that!"

"That's about all my father told me though." Tony attempted a scowl, but it was half-hearted at best. "That, and apparently you're going to teach me. I'm in the dark here."

"That's the gist of it. Firstly, your pops told me you have some kind of tech?"

"Oh, that." Tony gestured at the faint blue glow behind his shirt. "Arc reactor. Figures he'd want your opinion, apparently it's not the best it can be yet. I agree," he admitted.
