Hogsmead Village

"Alright, fair enough. I saw them outside this town."

Lukas found himself wandering the village, a bored expression plastered plainly on his face. He considered returning to Hogwarts, but didn't see the point until the havoc began again.

Pixie.

His shoulders rolled unconsciously, knowing he'd probably screwed it up anyway. Besides, she was a human, he wasn't. It shouldn't matter.

She'd mostly been acting on a whim, going down to the village. There wasn't any real purpose to it. She'd just needed to get away from Phoenix and her constant worrying.

Really, they should've expected Crouch's attack. What was done was done. No one was hurt, the cottage was fine. It was all good.

Coming across Lukas was an accident, but a good one all the same. "Well, well, well, look who it is. Long time no see."

Lukas span on his heel immediately, a relaxed smile playing on his lips now. 'and you look as beautiful as ever.' he mock bowed, acting the gentleman.

Leaning on her staff, Pixie grinned lopsidedly at him. "Rise, fair knight. Can't have you bowing in public, it'll look weird."

He chuckled gently, catching her gaze with his honey coloured eyes. 'I didn't think the queen cared what other people thought of her?'

"Not me, but they'll give you weird looks, won't they? A pretty guy like you bowin' to a funny old thing like me." She smiled openly, amusement glinting in her features.

'yeah, you are pretty odd looking.' he joked, stepping closer. 'I know i'm fabulous darling.' he flipped his hair extravagantly, an attempt to embarass her.

She reached up, brushing back a few strands of his hair. "I was just humouring you, sweetie," she teased.

'as was i.' he finished for her, chuckling. 'You haven't changed a bit.' Lukas bent down to place a kiss on her forehead, still grinning.

she could still kick my ass.

Damn straight

Pixie laughed quietly, and lightly punched his shoulder in response. "Neither have you. You're still a cocky ass."

'Isn't that the way you like me? Or would you rather me kiss your feet?' he proceeded to incline his head towards her shoes, as if considering it.

"Ugh, gross, no, don't do that." She pulled a face and let her hand drop, seeking out his. "You don't know where my feet have been."

He grasped her hand with ease, winking playfully. 'We don't where the other has been..'  Lukas admitted to himself that he was curious what Pixie had been doing for all this time.

She twined her fingers with his, smile widening again. God, she'd missed him, his mischief and the easiness of their relationship. "Why don't we go for a drink or something, and tell each other what we've been up to?"

'Sure.' he pointed to the Three Broomsticks. 'That okay?' he didn't come to Hogsmeade as often as he should've, suddenly aware of his flightiness with where he went.

"It's got seats and drinks; it'll do." Pixie tugged him by the hand, starting to make her way over. While she wasn't up to her old speed, she was fairly mobile now, having grown used to her limp.

'If you say so, let me order.' he insisted, peering inside and letting himself be led for a moment.
'Just be glad that i'm obedient... sometimes.' Lukas found the bar very quaint and boring for his taste, but it would serve its purpose.

'You come in here a lot?'

"No," Pixie admitted easily. She shrugged. "The walk's usually too long for my taste." She squeezed his hand before dropping it, adding, "I'll go find us a table. I'll have whatever, I'm not fussy."

The kitsune nodded silently, ordering two butterbeers from the bar before returning. He wasn't that interested in drinks, for once.

He returned to her in minutes, raising one brow in curiousity. 'who wants to go first?'

"I will, if you're gonna be a chicken," she teased, poking his foot with hers under the table. "Thanks for the drink, by the way."

'Fine then Miss Brave, tell your story. I'll try not to fall asleep.' he joked just as easily, passing the drink to her. He acknowledged her gratitude with a small nod, watching her intently as he waited.

She took a sip before she started, making an appreciative sound at the taste. "Crouch thought it'd be a smart idea to try and kidnap my little sister," she told him. No doubt Phoenix would have done the same, but with a lot more twittering and panic.

'Desperate move, even for Crouch.' he murmured, considering. 'Talk about clutching at straws. He's definitely running out of ideas.' Lukas didn't put a good or bad implication on it, knowing Crouch was dangerous whether or not he had ideas in his tiny skull.

'I take it she's ok?'
