"It's fine... look, I don't really know this other Artemis, but he's not me." I put my hand atop hers.

'I know.' I smile. 'And i am sorry for compairing you to him. you are different people.'

His vision flashed red. Some unfamiliar emotion filled him at an alarming rate. His fists clenched and he marched over to the pair.

I look over at the less than happy man approaching us, "Can I help you?"

I glance up to see a fuious Death. For a second, my thoughts clouded over, making me wonder why he was so angry, but i shook my head, pulling my hand away from Artemis's. 'Death. Whats...whats wrong?'

"I was hoping that she was lying. I was hoping that what she said would just be something that she made up to try and ruffle my feathers, as the muggles say it. Turns out my hopes were futile."

I frowned at him in confusion. 'She? Who? lying about what? What are you talking about death?'

I just watch the two, unsure of what to say

He shook his head. "You're turning your back on your brother and I to side with this?" he gestured towards Artemis.

I flinch. 'Im not turning my back on you. Look at him, Death. this isnt the artemis you know! this isnt the Auror Sound or whatever, this is...He wiped his own memory, death! because of me! what was i suposed to do?'

"I'm NOT SOUND!!!"

I guesture towards artemis. 'See? Not Sound,'

He scoweled. "Sure. Why would he wipe his own memory?" He paused and held up his hands. "You know what, I don't care. River, what happened? What'd I miss? Lethe was telling me about how you and Crouch had another argument and that you were siding with the Aurors now."

He shook his head. "What the hell is going on?"

'Since when did you listen to Lehte?'

I sit back, getting a bad feeling about what was about to happen

His wand was out and pointed towards Artemis in an instant. "Move any closer and I'll kill you Auror," he threatened, his voice deadly calm.

I raise ym hands, "Calm down... I don't want to fight..."

I nod, still unsure of his concern but I walk close with him none the less
"What's wrong?" I ask

I grab her arm for a second, gently but enough to encourage her to follow me "Just make a b-line for that door and I'll explain everything."

I nod and do exactly what he says. I sprint straight for the door and hold it for him.

Well she held that door, that was nice of her!

I run out, "THANKS! Keep running with me!"
